Check to see if there is a corporate event on at the hotel before booking. The hotel and grounds are great and the staff are extremely helpful, however the hotel has now got an event award and it would appear that this is their priority. We were there for 2 nights to visit the RHS show at Tatton Park. We decided to eat at the hotel on both nights, one in the restaurant and the other in the bar. We ate in the bar the first night and on returning from the show, we tried to book the restaurant through the reception. The receptionist rang for us only to be told that the restaurant was closed on that evening because not many people would be using it as the event people were all eating outside. I complained about not being informed of this prior to that afternoon. If we had been given notice of the restaurant being closed, we would have eaten in the restaurant the first night and in the bar on the second night. The menu in the bar is small so we didnt want to eat there on both nights. A manager then said that they would open the restaurant for us but we might be the only ones using it. This obviously did not make us feel welcome and we booked a local pub nearby. Another manager then rang the room and offered us free wine. I explained that one of us had to drive and declined the wine. We went out and had a really good meal and on our return we found the event in full flow. Unfortunately, the access to the car park near our room and the EV charges had been closed because of the event. We had to park in an overflow car park away from the hotel which I was very unhappy about leaving my car there. When I questioned the receptionist, she stated that she would open the road closure for me to drive to the EV charger but I declined. Again I stated that we should have been informed of the intention to close the road as a curtesy. It was more than obviously that the events bring in big money and we were made to feel that we were not welcome. The event manager did message me and apologise but it all was a bit like locking the stable door after the horse has bolted. It is a great shame because with a bit of common sense, these problems could have been easily avoided. I would be very reluctant to recommend this hotel if there was an corporate event on.

Exceptional Venue!!What an amazing place!!.. we were there for a business event, so enjoyed 2 nights there. There was a lovely welcome, and having travelled a long distance it was great not to take too long at checking in The rooms were spacious and very clean, the bed very comfortable!.. slept very well both nights The whole hotel experience was great, food on all occasions including breakfast just great We were around 140 altogether at our event, and I hope well be back next year!!

Nice hotel, beautiful location. Large grounds.Very clean, well presented. Bed was very comfortable. Nice layout. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great facilities -sadly we didn't use the pool as didn't have the time. Bar and restaurant options seemed great - we didnt use them however apart from breakfast which was great. Very busy with meeting/events on site but didn't impact our stay. On site parking great. Would stay here again.

Not what we expectedVery let down by this hotel, from the off at arriving at reception not being informed of where the breakfast room was & what times breakfast was being served. Gaining entry to the room, no which was far too hot, finding out that there was no air conditioning or room temperature control. Bathroom had no fan, the box of tissues had 4 tissues in it & for our 2 day stay there was 1 and a quarter toilet rolls. Plus no mini fridge in room!! 4* hotel I would have expected one. We left to go to Liverpool & a premier inn, which had air conditioning & a mini fridge. On checking out at reception our room key was taken & told to have a nice day!! No how was your stay, nothing.

Our wedding was the most amazing experience. We had our wedding at de vere cranage estate on 27 July 2024 and it was the most amazing experience we had. We had amazing support and help from the staff there, always checking in on us on the run up to the wedding. Laura and yasmin who helped to plan our wedding were really helpful and had great suggestions for djs, photographers etc. The rooms we were in we lovely and they were so tidy and well presented. Couldn't recommend these guys enough.
