  Visita de Ensueño en Escocia

  Mi mujer y yo decidimos visitar Escocia, era algo que habíamos soñado siempre, por lo que decidimos tomar algunos días en Glasgow para poder visitar las regiones aledañas. Nuestra opción de estancia fue en este maravilloso hotel que parece haber salido de un sueño del que nunca quieres despertar. Decoración, lujo y naturaleza en su mas puro estado a tan solo 30 minutos de Glasgow uno de los principales centros económicos de Reino Unido. Habitaciones amplias y decoradas con un estilo exquisito. Pero queremos decir que el secreto de este hotel es su personal que mantiene un profesionalismo y conocimiento en todo momento. Al llegar encontramos que uno de sus camareros, Javier, hablaba español, cosa que nos hizo la vida mucho mas agradable ya que pudimos compartir experiencias de nuestro viaje. Se mantuvo durante toda nuestra estancia atento a como la estábamos pasando sin ser intrusivo; Well Done!! De regresar a Escocia esta seria nuestra opción número uno sin lugar a duda.

  Wonderful stay

  Not sure where to even begin! This was the last stop of a week away exploring Scotland. On arrival we were told that we were receiving a complimentary upgrade which was such a lovely, kind thing to do and as the host Scott said, now certainly is the time for kindness. We had booked a small room, although from photos they looked beautiful too, but we were given a superior room and it certainly lived up to its category. The Peter room was just delightful - absolutely huge, sumptuous and a real treat. We had the best night' sleep too - what a bed!! The bathroom was just as luxurious and I was in the deep soaking tub within minutes! Heaven. We had dinner in the evening which was gorgeous. The best meal we've had in a very long time. Scott again looked after us - bringing pre-dinner cocktails to the room (superb mixing) and then waiting on us during the meal. It was a quiet Wednesday and almost felt like a private dining experience!! Really something to remember. Tip: have room service for breakfast! We wanted to make the most of the room and it was one final treat of the trip, looking out over the river and the trees. We had a wander around the grounds which are beautiful, particularly by the river. Covid precautions are taken very seriously and it all felt very safe, without anything being spoilt. The only downside of our stay was that it was one night. We didn't leave that room even a minute before checkout!! Thank you so much for a fabulous end to our trip and particularly to Scott for all his hard work in making our stay perfect. We will certainly be back!!

  Fantastic building

  Very covid secure throughout without being overpowering On arrival the building itself is stunning and all the better for being relatively close to the city. Everything about this place shouts 5 starts and I would have happily awarded them this but for their "upselling" activities prior to arrival which were not followed through. I normally delete all the emails about chocolates in the room or champagne or paid upgrades but in this instance I decided to pay for a room upgrade which was confirmed by email. On arrival we were shown to a fantastic room that was huge with a big bed, lovely views of the grounds, great bathroom and also very clean. It took a while to realise it was in fact the original room that we had booked, not the upgrade we booked and paid for. Having had a very long drive we decided to stay put however if you sell a service in advance and confirm that service it is inexcusable not to deliver. The reason we booked was because of the Roux restaurant and we were delighted with the dining room itself, the excellent menu and the service. It was expensive but really was treat and one I would recommend for a special occasion . The hotel itself was a bonus and again for a special occasion certainly worth considering. I will certainly go back here and if I happen to be seduced into paying for an extra service I will make sure they deliver on their promise.

  Lunchtime visit

  An excellent lunch and we'll worth a visit the cauliflower volute was worth the visit alone the staff were very pleasant and worked efficiently dealing with the conditions in place I would recommend this as an of the main drag eating place

  Afternoon tea a bit disappointing

  We had a voucher from last Xmas for afternoon tea. On arrival we were made very welcome and taken through to the The Stewart Room. Unfortunately seated on a low uncomfortable couch. The waiter brought our teapot and scones through. Due to Covid there were no menus but this didnt bother us. A young girl brought through the selection and explained what was on the plate stand. I had to ask for a plate as there was not one with the napkin/cutlery. We were never asked if we required sugar for the tea. The six small sandwiches would not have sufficed a child. Two of them had salmon which we do not like. The two scones were delicious appeared home made. The remainder of the small cakes did not seem to be home made and the Victoria sponge was a bit dry. We did have a second pot of tea as in the china teapots it seems to go cold very quick. We did not think the price of £31.50 per person was value for money just as well it was a gift.
