  Really quite nice old school family-run hotel

  A very nice small (20 rooms?) mom and pop 3 star establishment. A bit dated in décor, showing a little patina of age, but in a comfortable way. Our room looked out onto the river (and the camping area on the bank) and was large and quiet. Comfortable bed. Warm and friendly reception. Simple breakfast. Very marginal wi-fi.

  Beautiful comfortable stay

  The hosts were very kind. They spoke french slowly so we could understand and encouraged. our attempts to speak French. The town is uniquely medieval and beautiful Most buildings were 400 to 600 years old. Like walking thru history. Our hosts recommended sites in the area. If you want a true french country side experience, stay here.

  A friendly welcome

  We booked this hotel as an overnight stop on our route. We got a great warm welcome when we arrived and discovered a really nice town. So we will make a point of visiting again and spending more time there.

  Beautiful Hotel By The Ruver

  We were greeted with a smile and open arms after a long bike ride. We had a lovely local beer on the terrace and felt at home.Our luggage was in our room and I took a long soak in the beautiful tub. We took a short walk to an exquisite local restaurant .

  Disappointing Overnight Stay

  The hotel is a typical old French style hotel. where you are left to your own devices. No one offered to help with the luggage. What was presumably the owner gave me the wrong code for the Wi-Fi. There was no indication in the room as to what this was. The door to the room was warped so that it was difficult to open. the "free parking" was a yard at the side of the house which was filled with an enormous campervan which meant that no one could get in and as there was only ever room for two cars at most it was really a non starter. Breakfast was two big chunks of baguette and a croissant with some apricot jam. Cereal choice was cornflakes or what looked like bran flakes. Some dried fruit was available. Not very good value for money
