  Horrible experience!

  This has to be the worst holiday experience we have ever had in a hotel. We returned to this hotel because of the great holiday we enjoyed here under the previous management some years ago. Now it has been taken over by a hotel consortium that has replaced the furniture with the cheapest, shoddiest available, and staff are totally uninterested/unmotivated in anything resembling customer service. The entire hotel is freezing cold, despite the chilly cold weather this May (2017), dampness pervades everything, there is absolutely no food/beverage or drink served here, unless you consider vending machine coffee drinkable. You literally have to leave the "hotel" to get a decent hot cup of coffee. The staff, literally, leave you speechless. No one understands German (my first language) and when I then try to communicate with them in English (my second language), they don't understand that either. They are all from Eastern Europe and don't - or won't, understand my complaints, which leads me to thinking that they must be sick of getting them from other customers as well. Unfortunately, we had to pay for our stay there in advance, and any attempts at getting fresh towels, or any type of service is falling on deaf ears. This was a miserably cold, long week and I needed for a decent hot bath in a warm home afterwards. None of us recommend this tourist trap in any way. I would advise avoiding all the Sonnleiten hotels and guesthouses after this horrible experience. A waste of money!

  Early season ,weekend ski trip

  We were a little apprehensive about staying at this hotel ,as we'd booked it last minute ,then read some of the other reviews on here .However I must say we were very pleasantly surprised .The Hotel was clean and pleasant ,the rooms warm and comfortable ,there was an excellent choice for breakfast ,the breakfast room was very pleasant .The staff were quite elusive ,but this did not hinder our stay at this nice,convenient hotel .A short walk into the town of REIT Im Winkl

  Ideal!

  Ideal for family holiday! Fine atmosfere, super local cuisine - we took both breakfast and dinner. Each day something new, so many wonderfull activities to do around. Thanks to the local knowledge of the stuff we visited Bavarian traditional festival and it alone was worth the visit. All this plus a great value for money - we will be back in winter!

  Superb!

  One thing that stands out for this place is that you will never run out of wonderfull locations to see and to do around it, the friendly and passionate Bavarian stuff will be sure to help you explore. Fine dining and breakfast is just an addition to a trully great atmosphere! Its like being welcomed in a traditional Bavarian house! In one word - superb!
