    Hotel en el centro

Un hotel en el centro de la ciudad con espectaculares vistas a la ciudad. Muy tranquilo, limpio y nuevo. Habitaciones funcionales. El desayuno era local, no habia platos internacionales. Me extraño que las primeras 6 plantas del edificio fueran un centro medico y despues desde la 7 hasta la 20 hotel. No pasaria nada si no fuera porque se compartia el ascensor.

Most discriminating hotel in the world

2021 September 7. Eldis Regent Hotel Daegu South Korea. The most discriminating hotel in the world!!! This hotel take your money, literally make you cancel your booking and wont refund you!!! Highly racial discriminating staffs! If you are south east Asian looks, stay away from this hotel! Very rude staffs. The rudest hotel staffs I have ever encountered in my whole life. I have travelled the world for the last 2 decades and this is the worst hotel staffs I have ever met. It was raining when I and my business partner arrived at this hotel almost midnight. It wasnt easy to find parking area so we parked at the hotel front and went in to ask where to properly park our cars. As soon as I got in, the guy hotel staff came to me sand said you cannot park at the front. I totally understand when it comes to proper parking. I I said to the guy, can we get our stuffs from the car and check-in first before we go find a parking place?. He didnt comment. He just stared at us being rained down. He didnt even try to hold the closing door while I was trying to get in with my hands full. I requested a twin room, and the lady staff said our reservation is one queen bed. If you want twin bed, you need to pay extra. So I gave her the cash as she requested. Then she said, you are not allowed to park 2 cars as you booked only one room. Then the guy came with his tone saying you need to get rid of one of your car. Only one car is allowed. We had to fetch our stuffs from the car under the rain to the hotel lobby and this hotel staff kept telling us to get rid one of our car. He didnt even try to keep the door open so we could get in with our hands full luggage and umbrella on the other. I said, and where will we park? Outside is a busy highway. She said we had to pay 30,000 won (approx $30) more if not, go find somewhere else to stay. Another customer came in and the 2 hotel staffs started shouting at him and the 3 of them started heated argument. I went to the entrance a bit distance from them fighting and made a call to AGODA to request cancellation of this hotel. So I booked another hotel nearby. I told the guy I am sorry but I have to cancel this booking. Please give me back the cash I gave so I can leave. The guy replied in an annoyed tone Sure! We will charge you anyway! His words got into my nerve. Whole day work meetings, hoping to arrive at this so-called 4-star hotel so have a good rest before the next day meetings and then the hotel staffs looking at our face just wanted to get rid of us. They literally got rid of us telling us they will charge us anyway! I didnt say anything anymore. This is where again a southeast Asian face like us being discriminated in a 4-star hotel. It is not uncommon to be looked at from head to toe by hotel staffs when checking in as a southeast Asian look in 4-or above star hotels, or luxury cruise ships but this is my first time that a hotel staff literary shood us away because of our looks. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I will not stop to campaign against this type of hotel. For business travelers, our only consolation when we travel on business is to have a relaxing accommodation after whole day of exhausting meetings. Arriving at the hotel and the hotel try to get rid of you because you are a South East Asian look is just humanely unjust.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at, period

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Would avoid this hotel at all costs. First and foremost, the room has stains all over the ground. Like stains that look like someone sprayed feces on the ground. Second, the bedding they provided us was so hard that it gave my 75 year old father serious back issues and hes been unable to walk. The second night, we asked for additional bed cushion and/or blankets to support his back and hip but they said that they would charge an additional 20k won for this! I insisted that the material they provided us was insufficient to sleep on but they said that they could not accommodate our request. Can you believe that? A hotel that charges extra for additional blanket and/or bed cushion because a 75 year old guest had back/hip issues after sleeping on their mattress?? I have stayed at a dozens and hundreds of countries all over the worst and I can adamantly say that this is the worst customer service I have ever witnessed in my life. Lucky for us, we took pictures and video of all this as evidence.

HOT room with no cooling option

Stayed at this hotel for two nights while traveling with customers to Daegu for factory visits. Check in was simple and efficient. When I arrived at my room I found it to be 29.5 degrees C. I attempted to turn the air conditioning on in my room however it was not available. Then the group messages started coming in from the rest of our group. The same situation in all of our rooms. Hot rooms with to opportunity to cool them other than cracking open the window. The mattress and bedding were comfortable which was nice. The shower in the bathroom had no door which was odd. Much of the bathroom ended up wet each morning. Breakfast buffet in the morning was very good with a wide variety of food choices. I will likely look for another property to stay at during my next trip to Daegu. A scorching hot room is not acceptable.
