  Cheap but not cheerful

  We stayed en route to Calais from south of France. Sorry but I didn't like the hotel at all. It felt grimy and sound proofing was almost non-existent. The TV didn't work - indeed the plug socket was hanging off the wall. We had difficulty charging our phones as the plug socket nearest the bedside table didn't work properly. Overall hated it. It was cheap but we stayed in a campanile in Olivet on the journey down to south France, which cost less and was much better. The check in was efficient but the staff member was brusque and unfriendly. We wouldn't return again.

  Wrong choice for the last night of the holidays

  We stayed at this Fasthotel in our way back from Spain. We chose it mainly due to its proximity to the highway so we could leave fast and early in the morning. Knowing that it is a cheap budget hotel you cannot expect much but this was way below expectations. The girl at the reception had us waiting for a while and was unfriendly and uninterested. The room felt dingy and humid, very dark and depressing. It had 3 single beds and a bunk bed. The bunk bed was not very solid and moved, but our son slept on it. The bathroom was barely 1 m2. A pref unit with a minuscule shower with barely space to move around. It was not very clean in general, therr were empty dusty baskets under the beds so it seems the cleaning doea not reach under the beds. The big modern TV does not make it for the rest. The walls were so thin that you could be having a conversation with your neighbour across the wall. The only thing to speak for the place is price and the small garden and playground for the kids but unfortunately it does not compensate for the rest. Rather pay a bit more and have a better feeling.

  Nice Motel

  Looks like a Motel, room spacious, bed fine, shower too. Parking excellent. Nearby is nothing to do, except eating at the restaurant next door. Pizza etc. There is a vending machine but extremely expensive. 50cl water cost 2,70. A coffee in the morning costs 3,60. I think that is too much compared to other places. But still...a good place for ONE night.

  This never again

  Not suitable for business people. Good location I thought nearby my first client to visit next day. Arrived late, exhausted, after a very long day, at midnight which I announced them. No problem they said, you can check it yourselves at the gate. Which did not work, not even after 4 phone calls for support. Not possible to come and open the gate, "désolé" they said. My 2 Mastercards were rejected, the machine saying whereas I had been using them all day. Luckily a different-class-hotel took me in at 1am, otherwise I could have slept in the car.

  Stopover en route to UK

  Restaurant not open on Sundays Wifi awful did not work despite it saying connected Staff very pleasant, helpful and courteous. Ample secure car parking directly in front of hotel room. Nice outdoor area for drinks. Close to motorway
