  Wonderful stay as usual

  We love this hotel. The staff are so friendly and its the most dog friendly hotel I have ever stayed in. I know its good because the staff are the same every year and if the staff are happy so will the guests be. The location is perfect and its close to the village and several pubs. We are in the restaurant which is of a good standard. Well done everybody involved in this great place to stay.

  First visit

  We stayed two nights at this lovely hotel with friends who are in our business bubble. Laura & all her staff..sorry I cant name you all..were absolutely lovely. Nothing was too much trouble & anything we needed was available. Dinner was superb and the local produce extremely good. Highly recommend the duck & chicken. Special thank you to the kitchen for our gorgeous dessert plate. Although normal buffet facilities are not available at breakfast we could have all the same things just delivered to the table. The hotel looks lovely with all the Christmas decor and although a lot of the fine touches have had to be removed due to Covid restrictions it didnt in any way spoil our experience. We look forward to coming back in 2021 & seeing you all again. Keep up the great work in these difficult circumstances.

  First time at Forest Lodge

  After nearly 20 years visiting Bartley Lodge we were asked to switch our booking to Forest Lodge this year whilst Bartley being refurbished. Not sure how this would compare particularly with Covid situation but after a 3 night stay now think this may be a new favourite. Credit to the whole team for being friendly, professional and so attentive. Food was very good. The afternoon tea an extra treat having seen so many good reviews which was very nicely done and good value. Every staff member we met made our stay special. Thank you.

  Excellent and safe stay

  Over Christmas we had an excellent stay at The Forest Lodge Hotel. As always, the food was amazing. Staff friendly and atmosphere relaxed. I felt very safe and feel all COVID restrictions were fully observed and well thought out. It was touch and go at the last minute due to tier changes and although our stay was cut short we had a very enjoyable time. Would definitely recommend to others.

  Lovely stay

  This is the 2nd stay at Forest Lodge Hotel we had this year and I cannot praise it enough. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly welcoming nothing too much trouble. A lovely pool which you have to pre book due to Covid-19 but you get it to yourselves which is great. Breakfast is a joy to wake up to and although we did not dine in the evening due to pre booking other outlets the menu looked great. A truly lovely stay I cant wait to go back to this hotel.
