  Excellent hotel and location!

  We stayed for 14 nights in this lovely well run hotel. The location is superb as it is only 2 mins walk to the beach and beautiful views. The staff are excellent, nothing too much trouble and always with a smile on their face and plenty of hand sanitiser!! The food was repetitive but good and plentiful. There are plenty of good restaurants and bars in Icmeler so you can eat out in the evenings if you prefer. There was a great atmosphere in the outside bar and lots of laughs with Ash and Suphi was always around making sure the guests were well looked after. The rooms were spotlessly clean and of a decent size. We have stayed in Icmeler many times but its the 1st time in this hotel and we definitely plan to return again next year.

  Good but could be better

  My wife & I just returned on Thursday after 9 nights at Fortuna. From the moment you check in you know the staff will go above and beyond for you. Rooms were a decent standard, maybe a lick of paint and some papering but nothing to worry about. We had food at hotel 1st night due to evening arrival, the food in my opinion is poor but...you won't go hungry if you don't have a lot to spend. Way too repetitive for me. Breakfast the same so I stuck to toast and a drink. We ate out 7/9 nights and omg the food was fabulous. Roughly £25-£30 for us both including drinks. Back to the hotel, I heard a lot about Ash & Suphi but have to say I didn't see Suphi. Ash on the other hand is fantastic, had a hard job given end of season and everyone leaving due to quarantine kicking in but I've not enough praise for Ash. Would we go back to Icmeler,Yes. Same hotel, I'm not sure, never say never but the food won't put me off as we'd eat out. Too many great restaurants to name.

  Superb hotel

  Stayed here for a week in September 2020, excellent hotel, all staff friendly and helpful. Buffet food for all the meals, staff got the food for you due to social distancing but it wasn't a problem. Room was spacious with a great sea view. Only a 1 min walk to the beach which was lovely and clean and was for hotel use only. Booked again for this year (hopefully won't be cancelled)

  Tired and drab

  Paid extra with Jet2 for a "Suite" with sea view. What we got was predominantly a canal and chicken coop view. The cockerels crowing all night long was appalling, the room was drab and very tired looking with wall paper damaged and awful curtains and nets. This place badly needs a whole revamp. The staff are young and totally inexperienced and lead by managers who know how to entertain chosen hotel returnees but not manage or train their staff. Constantly asking for knives, forks, spoons, napkins, teas and coffees as the tables went uncleaned and unattended to. The wearing of facemasks was done in a chinstrap fashion. Food was just putrid. Cold, unappealing cheap offerings, served up the following day if you didn't finish what put out. The menu was a joke at times, served by youngsters who wanted to joke and carry on with you day after day. All in all, if you go here before a who revamp, you will either have low standards or take plenty of cash to eat and drink outside this place like we did.

  A lovely, clean and friendly hotel

  This is a nice hotel that is situated 100 metres from the beach which has free sun-loungers and umbrellas for hotel clients. The local Tiki Beach bar provides an excellent service to your lounger with hot and cold food, drinks and ice cream. The room was clean, tidy and perfectly adequate. The hotel personnel, from chamber maids, restaurant and bar staff to the reception and hotel management does everything in their power to make your stay as comfortable as possible. To say they are friendly would be an understatement, particularly Ash, the effervescent and ubiquitous DJ and entertainer. The facilities on the beach include water sports, sea taxis to Marmaris for a trip around the bazaar, Turunç for the local market at £2.50 a head and Lazy Day boat trips for £10.00 with lunch included around the islands and local coves and beaches. As with most holidays abroad there are always some things which perhaps dont meet your expectations. At Fortuna Beach they may be categorised as follows: 1. Restaurant the food is very repetitive and frequently served luke warm but on the plus side there is a good selection on the salad bar to tempt you. There are also a few chefs on duty who prepare freshly cooked pizzas, kebabs, omelettes, pancakes etc. We ate out regularly as the prices in the local bars and restaurants are unbelievably inexpensive. 2. The swimming pool is very small with the loungers being taken very early. However, the close proximity to the beach mitigates this problem for all but the very hard to please. 3. The promised free Wi-Fi was very intermittent and could only be accessed in the lobby area and a few areas around the bar and pool. On balance, we enjoyed our stay at Fortuna Beach Hotel and made some new friends during our stay. We could happily recommend a stay there, if only to be served in the good old fashioned way with courtesy and a smile.
