  Beautiful Hotel with scope for some improvement

  Good location with beautiful sea view, a good restaurant, spacious room (we had a junior suite) with balcony partly overlooking the sea and partly the beautiful gardens. The bed was disappointing; not a double bed but two small single beds placed together with unconfortable single duvets and cushions. Service was reasonable but the minibar overlooked and not properly stocked. We ordered room service the last evening of our stay; it arrived but had to chase it. The hotel only accepts Visa and domestic cards but not American Express which is unusual for a Grand Hotel.

  Short break at the sea

  We spend a couple of days on the top floor at the "Seeschlösschen" where you enjoy wonderful views of the Lübecker Bucht. The hotel offers both indoor and outdoor pool, nice spa facilities and an unbeatable (breakfast) terrace facing the sea. As every hotel at the German coastline it's struggles with customer service during high season so don't expect 5-star city hotel standards. There was one guy knowing what customer service is about, Zafaran Arif, a London, felt like waters in a desert. No one greeted us upon arrival outside of the hotel neither someone took care of the luggage. Highly recommend to hand over keys for parking as underground car park is outdated and just not made for nowadays larger luxury cars. If there is no one of the staff wanting to park underground ask for the hotel owned car park around the corner.

  Fantastic hotel

  We doesnt know anything about the hotel before we arrive but we was surprised. The room and atmosphere was very good and the breakfast and dinner was also very good. The staff was very plaited and very kind, service was 5 of 5. We will recommend this hotel, you will not be disappointed.

  Just Great

  We spend a weekend with the family. The whole place is just class. We had a see view room on the 8 floor. Worked out great with the extra bed for our 8 year old. The room were generous and the cleanliness were top standard. The breakfast had everything. I dont think I missed anything. Just great service everywhere! We are definitely coming back!

  a place with great tradition and service

  we sometimes take a a weekend trip to one of the nicest beaches in northern germany and allways stay at grand hotel seeschloesschen. we always have a seaview room and enjoj the nice room the good food and the excellent service. the breakfast buffet is magnificent and they always serve a very nice sparkling wine :-)
