  Nice hotel

  Stayed at Rics hotel with group of friends for a weekend break . Everything was great . Its a four star hotel with reasonable daily rate . Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were with reasonable size and good amenities. Reception is located in 17 floor . The only negative point was that sound insulation between rooms wasnt good .

  Terrible customer service,, AVOID!!!

  horrible customer service !! ripping customers off without any consideration of care for their clients ,, I had a booking for 2 nights with the sum of 80 KD. with free cancellation and forgot about it , then this classless hotel charged me 46 KD despite the fact the i have not been to the property !! thus, i went there and had a face to face discussion with reception and he offered me a terrible solution which is 5 KD off for my next stay with them!!! I have previously had a stay at this hotel but i will never do that again!!! no care what so ever for the clients!

  Pleasant stay

  When arriving at the hotel i was not impressed from the outside a d location as i was told this was a 5 star in one of the best locations. The lower lobby (main entrance) was filled with sentted air purifiers which was very over powering and had gaging effect when breathing it in. Just a few seating was scattered around the lower lobby. Luckily the reception was on the 17th floor and was but more pleasant. We were greeted and offered some local coffee and dates. After we got all our rooms and different floors as per our request we moved in. Each room had its faults. Curtains were hanging off the rails, ac not working, no hot water etc. All issues we had in the rooms were rectified asap and was done without and problems. The rooms were average hotel room with the aminities and services . Shower was excellent and very powerful could of stayed there all afternoon. The staff were excellent and the team made you feel welcome. Rooms were cleaned well and laundry service was fast. I was actually shocked at the speed of the services which i required within minutes things got done, which was fantastic. Our room rates were with breakfast included , but we we really only had it on the last day which there was a good selection of dishes. As daily we would go out and try the citys best breakfast joints. The security Comapny greeting people at the main door need to be more trained/ experienced in the hospitality. There was one very rude employee which made some comments and made some people of our group upset. As this was brought to the GM of the hotel who was very understanding and apologetic of the situation. Also the S&M Manager was also great with the group and made them welcome. Anyway the hotel was good and clean and services fast, location was a city hotel. Would stay there again as the staff were excellent.

  Breakfast Buffet offer

  As a couple we bought a breakfast buffet coupon to try out this hotel. The presentation of the food was orderly and hygenic with a basic selection of items. The restaurant was located on a top floor of the building giving views across Kuwait city. The furniture was elegant and comfortable in a restaurant that was fairly small compared to the average hotel - but the layout was done well and not cramped. It was a good deal with the offer but for the full price they should have a greater selection of items. Staff were polite and attentive. Chef made tasty omelettes.

  reception on the 17th floor

  As soon as my airport taxi (20min drive, 8 KWD to be paid at a desk) arrived in front of the skyscraper with the hotel a porter came running out of the front door to take my luggage. Together we then went up to the 17th floor, where the reception is located. Check-in was efficient, friendly and with a juice as a welcome drink. A manager and the porter then accompanied me to the room on the 23rd floor, explaining me everything. The room was of a good size and It had all what one could ask for, plenty of storage place and also a well equipped bathroom. I especially enjoyed the floor to ceiling window, offering a great view over Kuwait City's Mirqab area and beyond. If I was missing something at night it was good reading lamps by the bed. There were only two lamps too high up and with a weak light. Breakfast is as of 6am already, which I especially appreciated on my day of departure. There is a good buffet with plenty of Arab specialities as well. Eggs any style can be ordered separately. Also daily newspapers are available like the 'Arab Times'. Since around the hotel there is not much choice regarding good meals I took all my dinners at the hotel's 'Sky Restaurant', the same as for breakfast. Here I enjoyed starters like Taboule or Mutabal, while as main courses I once tried 'Chicken Majoboos', a Lobster (apparently from Oman) and Gulf King Jumbo Prawns. With it I either drank a San Pellegrino or a San Benedetto mineral water. In daytime I could walk from here to the traditional Souk Al Mubarakiya in 15 minutes, then on to the Corniche with the Dhow Harbour, the Fish Market and the Souq Sharq, while to visit the Kuwait Towers I asked the porter to call me a taxi. All in all it was an enjoyable stay here.
