    Peaceful, traditional and great value

If that´s luxury and fashion what you are looking for, than probably this is not the hotel for you, dont bother reading the rest of the comments. Bela Vista is na hotel with a touch of tradition for those who appreciate slow rythim, nature and well being for a fair price. It´s true that the type of room you chose can make the difference on your experience there since there is a rather funny mix of refurbished and old fashioned options. My advise is to definitely choose a room with balcony with views because those guarantee a pleasant decoration, enough space... and absolutely superb sunsets, The swimming pool area is amazing, the pool itself is spotless, the surroundings are great with shade under the vineyards all very peaceful even when there are children arround. The food is homemade really, do not expect a gourmet experience, this is more like a termal experience it tastes like healthy food. And do not miss a dinner out in the big terrace outside, the dinning room is out of this time and worth for lunch but a summer dinner is best in the terrace. The Spa is great for a Vichy massage at a very reasonable price and it will help you feeling more relaxed, make sure you dont miss one. It seems that a lot of guests return year after year and that is probably the best sign that this is an hotel worth visiting for at least one weekend when you visit the Minho area.

    Reaxation.

Just enjoy the wonderful setting. A confortable classical decoration, swimming pools and bikes for rent. Th eminigolf is somewaht eroded (as are almost all) and The restaurant is too expensive for the food they serve. Breakfast is good, though, plentiful. The proximity to the thermal falicilites and garden is very handy; free pool and soccer tables are available.

    Great option for COVID times

Every year we visit the hotel for a weekend. The hotel has a wonderful vintage feeling, the social areas are spacious and the setting is amazing. The pool area is quiet, surrounded by beautiful vegetation and the water is sparkling clean for a relaxing swim. The restaurant's terrace is the perfect option for dinner while you can stay inside where it's cooler for lunch. The menu has 2 very healthy and tasty mains and the classical portuguese desserts are yummie. All the staff are incredibly helpful. We've travelled with small children, they had a great time too especially at the mini golf, pool and snooker, shame we couldn't hire the bycicles this time but a walk around the huge hotel gardens and woods was a good alternative. There is also a route of picturesque water mills near by for some 1-2 hour pleasant walk. I'd advise anyone who visits to book a couple of treatments at the SPA which is only 5 minutes away (on foot) from the hotel. Definitely one of the best options for whoever visits Minho and North of Portugal or for a couple of family who just wants to relax and enjoy the countryside this summer .
