  Great Located Hotel, excellent way to escape Ho Chi Minh

  This is a popular hotel located along the sea front of Vung Tau. Very popular at weekends with people escaping the heat of Ho Chi Minh. I recommend you go mid week if you can as you get a much better rate. Breakfast is a large buffet affair mainly catering for locals (Baby Oyster Porridge) but every day they got me up an excellent omelette. My room was quite large with good Air Conditioning About 400 metres from Green Hotel is the Night Market that does excellent/cheap seafood (6 Tiger Prawns BBQ 5$). Sea front is just across the road (Deck Chair 2$) Bus from backpacker District is 4$ one way. This is a 2.5 hour bus ride to Vung Tau, when you get to the bus station a smaller bus will take you to the hotel (in the 4$ price) However i strongly recommend if at all possible you get a day light trip on the Hydrofoil from HCM to Vung Tau as its just 90 minutes and the views are spectacular. (10$ one way if i remember right). So Weather is almost as hot as HCM but it doesnt feel it because of a constant see breeze. Vung Tau is a really pleasant/chilled place. I recommend you rent a scooter (hotel has them) and cruise around the headland (as many other people seem to do).

  3 days in hell

  do not come here if you want a quiet and peaceful vacation. everyone including the employees are loud. people sleep in the hallways and play music in the hallways. the employees sing. they are all nice but they just dont realize what good customer service is. i think that if you are used to better customer service youll be really disappointed and annoyed. the breakfast is horrible too. not fresh and a waste of calories. also people smoke throughout the hotel. i am not sure if this is all okay and maybe i just have different expectations due to my previous experiences traveling in the world. book at your own risk.

  Terrible hotel in Vung Tau

  When we arrived to this hotel we immediately noticed a weird stinky smell in every room - we had 4 rooms on 2 floors. Every room smelled as a stinky socks - thats because there are molds everywhere on the walks in rooms or in bathrooms. Second thing, we payed for the most expensive rooms with sea views and extra large beds, when we came into the hotel, we got 2 rooms with extra large rooms, 1 room with 2 separated beds and 1 room with extra small bed - and that room was intended to be for 2 adults. The bed was 120cm wide. We were told at the reception, that they dont have any rooms with extra large rooms left. So they offered us a Suite which had a slightly wider bed. So we decided to stay the night. A bad idea. We found even more molds in the bathroom, in the shower as well. Everything seemed dusty in the whole room. But then the biggest problems came. The mattress was so hard, that I felt like lying on a wooden plank, literally. Windows cant be shut properly in every single room, so we had to fold the menu behind the closing handle, so the window could latch a bit better. So we got into our beds, finally. But then some very noisy guests in the hallways started to party. Literally they just thrown their booze on the ground together with a loudspeaker and thats how they partied in the hallways. No words needed. Other than that, we could hear loud noises coming in from the street - you can hear every single people chatting on the street next to your hotel, every single motorbike, cars honking... like literally everything. And of course there was a party outside the hotel so we could hear even that. Like it wasnt enough. Construction workers start to work on reconstruction of one building near the hotel soon every morning. So we got nice 30 minutes of sleep throughout the whole night.   Ok for the time we spent in Vung Tau

  The hotel is in need of a bit of TLC, areas of it look worn out and unloved. I only had two nights here and it was fine for that amount of time. Best feature is A/C which was very powerful and the location just across from back beach. WiFi drops in and out in the rooms. Walls/floors must be paper thin because we could here everything. Breakfast was included in the rate, a diverse selection if anything else from eggs to spag bol. Coffee was good. Didnt really seem to matter what time we went for breakie however as it was always manic busy! Not a whole lot of interaction with staff so its hard to judge service. I probably wouldnt stay here again unless I was stuck but who am I to judge, it proudly boasts a rating of 8.2 from agoda and 8.4 from booking.com so it obviously serves a selection of clientele greatly and suits their needs better than it did mine.

  Verry good

  Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, good view from balcony. our room was very clean, fresh tropical fruit without fee. The man who work at night was very helful, he helf us to rent a motobike and guide us to local seafood restaurant, good good good
