AvoidAll I can say is the photographer for this hotel has done a fantastic job! When you arrive it looks like a hostel from the outside. Im unsure how this hotel can call themselves a spa because the spa was basically a local swimming pool. The floor wasnt clean, kids running and screaming and just not what you would expect when you book yourself a spa get away. We were so disappointed we couldnt bring ourselves to eat in the restaurant and went out instead. Rooms are OK but ours was cold and we couldnt find anywhere to heat it up. Every time someone runs a tap in the adjoining room you can hear it too, just not relaxing at all.

Amazing spa packageBooked a 2 night spa break and have to say we were really impressed. It started off badly as we were greeted with a rather rude and abrupt man at reception but everyone else especially the lady who I think may have been Polish was absolutely amazing. The food was surprisingly good, the dinners especially and we didn't manage to have a dessert the second night as we were happy and stuffed! My massage with Raasha was amazing and the wet area is OK although it was quite busy, it's definitely not for the shy as you have to awkwardly walk around in a towel from the changing rooms, past the gym and squash area and the reception to get there. The room was clean and had a good sized bed. Overall I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a spa break in this area!

disappointing stay unfortunatelyWe were very surprised that this hotel had a four star rating after our recent stay there. We found it difficult to communicate with the staff . our room was a disappointment and despite having booked four months previously it was sad to note that we had to rearrange the beds in a tight fitting room as soon as we got there. Complaints to the staff were accepted but acted upon like we had personally insulted them. The food in the restaurant (breakfasts) were a tribute to the deep fat dryer , it was all self service, and the grease covered sausages and bacon, with the hash brown coated in what looked like hardened horse hair hardly tempted the taste buds. The hotel bar had a selection of beers which seemed to be missing out the more popular brands. In the corner a dillapidated sofa had its lining torn away in patches. The spa was an experience of immense satisfaction comparatively, and the thought of spending most of the three days in the steam room, (well manicured and very clean) or the excellent pool facilities in preference to an overcrowded sin a called family room was more than tempting at times.

Spring breakUnder the present circumstances the staff were positive and very uplifting, we had a great time and look forward to seeing them again. Fast friendly and efficient, very clean and very welcoming. Lets hope things clear up and business can resume back to normal.

Lovely night away.To clarify, overnight guests park for free. Just give your reg to the receptionist when you arrive. I had contact with the hotel before I arrived and they were well prepared for my food allergies. The receptionist was welcoming and had clearly passed on all the information to the catering staff. The afternoon tea was ready on time and felt like a real treat. Even if you are not staying overnight, I'd recomnend visiting for the afternoon tea. The staff were all very helpful and were careful to ensure my food didn't contain any of my allergens. I had the salmon for dinner and I would highly recommend it. It was beautifully cooked and arrived in good time. I visited on a Satuday when the pool was busy with children so I didn't go in. Instead we walked through the housing estate to a nature reserve which has a good path for easy and pleasant walking. We also sat in the lounge which was very pleasant although it did get full by 9pm so there were no spare seats. The bar man went out of his way to find me a peppermint tea. The room, was spacious, clean and quiet and the beds were comfy. A fan was provided for those rare, warm British nights. Breakfast was served from 8-11am. It was nicely cooked with a wide choice of food available. The buffet style self servery was kept topped up with fresh, hot food and there was a good selection of hot and cold drinks. The management and the staff have clearly worked very hard to make this a successful and enjoyable stay for their guests and I would happily recommend it to friends. Many thanks for a lovely visit.

Romantic getawayThe hotel was okay. It wasn't fancy or glamorous. The pool was okay, just full of kids. Was a tad relaxing. The room could have been nicer and cleaner but the hotel good was amazing, both the breakfast and two course meal, the meal was high quality in fact.

Enjoyable stayWe had to deal with a relatives property locally so as it was a bit too far to go back the same day, we chose this hotel being Best Western members. We found all staff we came in contact with helpful and courteous. Our room was better then expected although a bit tired but we slept well after I had taken out the winter weight duvet and just had the cover over us. A complete bug bear of mine when staying in hotels in the warmer months. Either put on summer duvets or sheets and a blanket. Evening meal was very nice and we had a free drink token for being BW members. Breakfast was also very good. There is a swimming pool and spa on premises for use by hotel guests with pool towels provided. We had no time to use as had a pretty full day and were tired but certainly was tempting. A very nice Sunday overnight stay, and at £59 including the free breakfast summer sale - a bargain. We would return if in area again but why £5 parking for hotel guests? Can understand for outsiders coming in to use spa but not hotel guests.

Simply Spa PackageTrying to book one of their Simply Spa Packages. Right hand didn't know what the left was doing. 4 phone calls and 5 e-mails over a period of days and still no joy. Leisure weren't notified of the reservation. Restaurant booked afternoon tea instead of what was advertised as included in package evening meal. The worst customer service I have received in a long time and it was meant to be for me to catch up and have some quality time with my daughter for my birthday.
