Great location and very nice staffThe hotel is a bit hard to find, but very near from the subway station or airport bus terminal. From Gyeongbukgung station exit 3, walk ahead until you find olive restaurant, and turn right when you see convenience store. On the alley, walk about 100m and turn left. The hotel is located in the end of the alley. You cannot really see any sign from outside though, luckily the staff was outside at the time we arrived and greeted us. Staff speaks english finely, and very nice. They even helped us to keep our big luggages while we were away outside town 2 days until we checked in again after. It has hairdryer, Lan internet, water dispenser, and the room is very warm. The cons: the ondol bed is a bit hard to sleep on, bathroom is kinda small, and the room is not that soundproof. You could hear people at room beside you chatting at night. Really worth for what you paid.

Small, but cleanNot a real big place, and it was initially hard to find. However, it *is* very close to the subway, and with the picture I attached of directions it should be much easier to find. Our room was small, but it was clean and well taken care of. I wish there were more signs directing you to the hotel, but fortunately I found it after walking by the alley it is on a few times. I followed Yennie W's directions and ultimately made it there.

Poo Poo stain on the toilet bowlThe location of Hangul House is perfect, very close to metro station. The area around is very nice. They have some cozy coffee shops and restaurant. Staff is very kind and nice. He and the room attendant can speak limited English. However, the room is not as clean as we think. We stay in a room with 3 beds (tatami). When we arrive, my dad find out there is some stain around the plate of the toilet bowl, and 90% sure that was a poo stain!!!! He clean it up with hot water and since then we inspect every corner of the room and become very alert. I find some curly public hair on the floor nearby my tatami. So, if you put cleanliness on your number one spot, I recommend you to choose some other hotels around. Otherwise, Hangul House is quite comfortable for budget travelers.

Very good experience!!It is a hostel. The location is easy to find and just 5 mins walk from the train station! The price is reasonable! The room is clean, warm and comfortable! The room design is like Japanese style, no King size bed but I am sure you will love the stay!

Good location . . . small but comfortable roomGood location as it is a short walking distance from the airport limousine bus stop and the subway station Gyeongbukgung exit 3. Quite difficult to locate but once you find the place, you'd understand that part of the beauty of the place is its location towards the end of an alley (an indication that only those who are staying or have some business at this guesthouse would be in the area). I came towards the beginning of winter in Seoul, yet my room was comfortably warm. I am glad I was not sharing the room with another person as it is small, just good for single occupancy. They provided two futons so I placed them on top of each other making it comfortable to sleep on. There is fridge and heater in the room. Toilet/Bathroom is really small but they provided all amenities (soap, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel and lotion, comb, clean small and big towels, hair dryer and most especially hot shower). I wish they had a shower stand though. They have a hot and cold water dispenser outside the room. Good internet connection using LAN cable with your own computer in the room (always a big plus for me). The guesthouse have a security access pass system, a bit confusing to use at times but there is always an English speaking staff that can assist from a small office close by. I would stay here again when I visit Seoul in the future.
