    Housekeeping needs retraining

    We have stayed mostly exclusively at Hilton Properties for the last 20 yrs. I have never been as disappointed in the service provided as I was at the Louisville property. We checked in on Friday July 17. Upon check in I inquired about breakfast. The gentleman at the front desk informed me they didnt get their truck shipment so there was no breakfast. I realize with the pandemic breakfasts have been changed. I did not complain about this at that time. I also realize with this type of property there is no weekend room services so when we returned to our room Sat and Sun we stopped at the front desk and asked for coffee. On Monday when we were leaving I inquired again about when they might be resuming breakfast. I was told they were doing grab and go. I said great and took one for my husband and I. It consisted of Cheedar Jalapeño Chicken biscuit, yogurt and an orange. When we returned on Monday evening our room has particularly cleaning they cleaned the bathroom and made the bed no vacuuming and no coffee was left. I went to the front desk and retrieved it. Tuesday I received the grab and go breakfast again. Tuesday no cleaning at all was done no made bed or anything. I brought this to the attention of the desk clerk who assured me a complete clean would be done on Wednesday. As we left on Wednesday I asked if there were any more options for breakfast I was given a bacon pasta bowl, yogurt and orange. When we returned Wednesday to our room the bed had been made with new sheets and the bathroom was cleaned no vacuuming was done or any cleaning in the kitchen area. So no major cleaning was done. I know the main area wasnt vacuumed as there was a small black rubber band that had been on the floor when we checked in. It was still there 5 days later. The kitchen area had not been swept and was getting dirty I used a towel to push the dirt to along the wall. I left a note for coffee and it was left. Thursday the bed was made bathroom no other cleaning the black rubber band was still in its spot in the middle of the floor. Friday as we left I asked the desk attendant the one who was working on the previous weekend for breakfast he stated they arent doing breakfast. I stated they have every other morning. He then said well i can give you the cheddar chicken if you really want it. He acted like I was bothering him I said nevermind. Upon return Friday there was coffee but no vacuuming our rubber band was in its place. As I have stated we have never received this poor service in a Hilton Hotel. I have also never made a formal complaint about services or lack of services. We were extremely disappointed in the lack of service we received. We usually stay at the Hilton Garden Inn near the Home2 Suites when we come to Louisville. I decided to try and change things. I will not be comming back.

    Needs to work on COVID plan

    Typical Home2 Suites. We like the business model and layout of this Hilton product and have stayed at others. The hotel currently is operating on a bare bones staff and has a poor plan in place for COVID. First of all, hand sanitizing stations are non-existent, the pool is closed, and we saw only the front desk employee when we stayed. The breakfast was handed to you in a bag with a breakfast sandwich, peach yogurt, and orange. Coffee? It was so weak it was undrinkable. We asked for and got more packets of coffee to brew in room. We had stayed at a Home2 in Georgia just 2 weeks ago with a much better plan with breakfast options. It seems this one was more interested in slashing expenses due to reduced occupancy rates rather than accommodating its guests who are supporting them through difficult times.

    Nice 94 room hotel near Kentucky Kingdom, Kroger and Cardinal Stadium.

    My wife and I enjoyed an early check in for our 3 night stay using a hotel Pre Pay(digital no contact check in available). A friendly masked receptionist quickly checked my identity, placed a pending charge on my credit card, then issued our key cards. We took one of their 2 elevators up to the 4th floor and broke the Covid Cleaning door seal to #409. The long studio began with a fully equipped kitchen (full sized refer, micro, coffee maker and dish washer), across a bathroom with glass door shower, then living area with large TV (100+ channel Direct TV), then 2 comfortable doubles across a long dresser/shelf/closet unit. We had good WiFi but both the small gym and the small indoor pool were closed. Covid Caution signs were posted and the staff was fully masked. The 6 AM Covid breakfast is a Grab & Go bag with a filling egg & cheese bagel/egg biscuit + fruit and yogurt, then adding the 24 hour available coffee/tea. This 2 year old clean hotel is a mile away from the SDF Airport with early morning runway noise, subdued when the room's heat/AC unit is running. Both Arby's and Cracker Barrel are passed to the convenient ramp to I-65 for 6 mile north to City center's Museum Row and Waterfront Park. We had a good stay preparing our own meals at $106 per night but wishing for at least a queen size bed.

    Suites are great, good location

    We found this location great because it was close to the airport, but only 15 minutes to downtown (Louisville Slugger and the Ohio River). It was only 2 minutes away from U of L and Churhill Downs. We took a day trip to Mammoth Cave National Park which was also an easy 90 minute drive South from here. What I didn't realize and made it slightly difficult to sleep... UPS planes flew past our 5th floor window all night every night... about every 1-2 minutes in some cases and they are very loud. I later learned the UPS hub is in Louisville and their airport is very busy! My kids loved watching the planes fly so close to our window, but it was a bit much at times. I feel there were some glitches at this time with breakfast to-go bags. They are currently offering bags with sandwiches that need to be heated up, so you cannot take it with you. The pool is closed due to COVID, which is not unexpected so that is OK. We had some housekeeping issues which we did report and were responded to. The suites were great for our family of 4. We loved having a kitchen and also extra space with the table and couch. We would easily spread out. We would return to this hotel, but hope that with new management, some of the issues we encountered will be addressed (I spoke to new manager this morning and do feel confident).

    Great staff

    Stayed for a weekend track meet. Clean hotel, clean rooms, friendly and kind staff that go above and beyond. Had issue with local resident outside hotel prior to check in. I had some concerns based on that. I was pleased with how the manager handled situation. Did not feel blown off and he listened as well as answered questions to feel secure moving forward. Recommend the hotel and commend staff
