  Loved the stay here !

  Great staff at this hotel. It is a little isolated from shopping if that is your goal, but there is a shopping outlet nearby . The hotel has room service , very tasty ! The restaurant has a good selection of food choices and the staff was wonderful, very helpful, courteous. We managed the language barrier just fine . Some staff spoke enough English that we did fairly well . We learned a few words of Portugese , and found it fun to try to use them . The room had some mosquitoes , but the bed was clean . The breakfast was complimentary and delicious. Our waiter at dinner was as cute as could be, and very professional . The bed was comfy, the A/C had a remote control . The pool was clean and refreshing . Free parking . TV channels were in Portugese, except for CNN news . Close to the airport , a 2 mile ride . Taxis readily available , about $15 .

  Too far

  Pros- spacious entertainment area with tv, fireplace, pool table and poker table. You can have a nice view from this area (picture) Breakfast was great. It had a lot of options. The hotel is kind on top of a hill, it has a lot of nature and space to walk around and breathe fresh air. It also has a pond where you can go on little goose boats. Cons- wifi. Although it is very good at the breakfast area and entertainment center, there was NO wifi signal in the rooms. Outdated rooms. I had no problem with the shower, it was hot. However, the bathroom is very outdated. The wall tiles are not clean, there is some mildew on the grout. There was only one bedside table, and ONE outlet by the bed. Seriously? The hotel is kinda far away (20 min by car) from capivary, which is the best part of the city. They should invest on the restaurant. It only works from 3 pm to 10pm and have about only 5 dishes. The food from the menu is not very appealing, as the woman from the front desk said : it is frozen food. Also, there is NO room service.

  Not suitable for winter

  This is a very well located hotel (close to the city's gate) with sports court, sauna and hot jacuzzis. However, the cabins are not suitable for the cold temperatures during the winter. They have hard floor instead of wood floor, which is too cold for chill nights. Also, they have electric-heated shower that's incapable of providing a hot shower if the temperature drops. The only heating available in the room is a portable one that only keeps warm a small area. It should be good during summer, but Campos do Jordao is well known winter destination, so this hotel needs to rethink what a room needs to have.

  The best so far in Campos

  I like cold, winter and mountains. But i like comfort too. Campos do Jordão gives me all of this. I go there every winter. My first time in this hotel. The price was perfect to.my budget. Almost an airbnb price, but so much better! I see lots of bad reviews here and i don't understand. Go to a 5 stars hotel then! If you want a low cost service, don't expect the first class. Simple. Thw hotel is very clean. Tge staff is super polite and friendly. It is inside a wonderful green area with lots of flowers and even a small lake! It is distant from crowded noisy Capivari... a plus to me. I always avoid weekends in Campos, so... the hotel was not crowded, and the car traffic to Capivari was light. Tarandu is near the hotel. Nice place to a whole day. The breakfast is good. Nothing special, it could to offer more fresh fruits only. Amazing view from my room. Hot shower, good bed. No fridge in the room. It should to have one. Cable tv. Not too many channels, but i travel to see outsude, not TV. A fireplace in sone chalets would to be nice too. It seems that they don't have this option. I will be back soon. BR
