    Lamentable

    Terrible!

Wow. I've never actually put that much thought into whether the smell of sick can triumph over the smell of raw sewage. However, thanks to a night spent in the Hotel Stars, I now have the answer! I also never knew that a foul smell could keep you awake. But I know now! I would have gone to sleep in my car in the car park but it was freezing and as a lone female, possibly not the best idea. So I stuck it out, with the window wide open. This at least succeeded in nearly masking the smell of the sick, but the raw sewage came from the blocked pipes in the en suite, right next to the bed. It made for a sleepless, smelly and freezing night's stay. I was so glad when it was over. I arrived after reception closed, so there was no-one to ask for a change of room. Other points of interest include cigarette burn holes in the bedding (fortunately I was able to bring my own from the car) and stains (including a large feature presumably sick stain) on both the walls and the carpets, along with peeling, scraped paint on the doors. Oh, and the wifi didn't work, even in the lobby. Plus points: was quiet the night I was there, my car didn't get broken into and I survived! I'm not sure why I booked this hotel, I won't make the same mistake again! This would have been bad hotel accommodation in a Third World country, in modern day France it was shocking. If looking for cheap accommodation, a youth hostel is much nicer.

    Absolutely AVOID

Booked for an overnight stop over on route to Cap D'Agde (we had also booked it coming back a week later which we soon cancelled). It was cheap so I knew it would be basic. Upon arrival there was a large gang of intimidating young French people. We ignored the weird stares and went inside. Receptionist was lovely. Upon entering the rooms we regretted our choice. Vomit stained carpets and mouldy walls with a touching smell of sewage was our greeting (in both rooms!). Beds were stained and the bathroom was naccered in both rooms. We went out for food and returned to have an early night. The hotel overnight had no staff member on site and had a code lock to get in (meaning anyone with the code can enter). Soon after we got back, the same people spoken of earlier came into the hotel in their masses. It was midnight and they were extremely loud. I didn't think anything of it until they started trying to get in to our rooms. All night we watched as lots of random people came and went coming in as they please all night, all equally as loud as their friends. The whole hotel began to stink of cannabis which was blatently being smoked in their rooms. With their being no staff member on site and the looks we got off these people when were arrived, we certainly did not feel safe at all in this hotel. We were very quick to leave in the morning!

    Nice easy stay.

For us it was ideally located with really nice staff. For a quick stop over its ideal. Only down side was that we had to have 2 x twin rooms as there is no family room available. We went for a burger and fries across the road in Fast.

Expect little and you will be horrified

Ok, for the money I had not expected the Waldorf Astoria, but this "hotel" was a shock. First of all, there was nobody there, I had to call for a code, the key was inside the stinky room. If you want to bend down to open the lid of the loo, you need to leave the bathroom door open, it is so little, an overweight person would not even fit into the shower, the loo is precarious. There is not a single socket in the room to charge the phone, I unplugged the TV, anyway only French babbling on all channels. Sleeping will be hard right next to the highway.
