  Small and cozy beachfront resort

  Anyone looking small and quite place to stay by the beach, this is the place!!! I stayed at beachfront room with nice view and fresh air every morning. Staffs are very helpful and nice. Food is excellent. You can sit by the beach all day long without doing anything.

  Il Mare restaurant great food, great atmosphere!

  We did not stay in the resort, but visited the restaurant at the ocean for the first time and were really surprised. The menu is great, lots of choices and everything is prepared in a really tasty way and for a reasonable price! The service was great, very friendly and helpful staff. And to make the evening complete, there was live music this evening, lovely music at the right volume, which means not to loud or disturbing. We are definitely coming back for another diner with this great atmosphere!!

  Home of the Hockey Puck Burger

  Pristeen setting, lovely venue, Abysmal "service". Incredibly inedible food. If you read our review of Il Mare, Nonthaburi, suffice it to say this restaurant is the antithesis of the former. We seated ourselves at a lovely table overlooking the beach and gulf which made the 15 minute wait for a menu somewhat tolerable. We'd had a cheeseburger at a kiteboarding contest up the beach the previous weekend which was without question the very best we've ever had in Thailand. We assumed it was from this establishment from their "So Burger" signage in front and were looking forward to a repeat performance. We could not have been more mistaken. We ordered drinks when the "waiter" brought menus and ordered a burger, fries and salad. 20 minutes later, no service, I went to counter and asked the waiter for another coke. He said yes and also conveyed they were out of french fries. "Do you have anything else?" Yes "what else do you have for appetizer?" yes "chips or anything? What do you suggest?" yes. (OK, not gonna clear the language barrier here, never mind.) 10 minutes following that exchange I was finally served another can of coke, without ice refill. 5 minutes later along came the burger and salad. The beef was 1/2 the diameter of the buns which were so stale I nearly cracked a tooth on them. The slice of (cheese food product, which is anything but cheese) was tossed between the beef and stale bun, not melted at all, and there were no condiments. Long after I had finished the beef the waiter finally re-appeared with the condiment tray. I asked him to try the bun, which he did and I indicated it was harder than the wooden table top. We ordered rice soup and waited an additional 10 minutes before finally returning to the counter ourselves to pay the bill. The soup was there; waiting to be delivered to our table I guess. I asked for the bill and the young lady at the counter asked about the unserved soup. I asked her to package it for take away. She left, I thought to get a container, and did not return. Another gentleman rang up our order and was gracious enough to comp the burger which we were prepared to contest anyway. Nonetheless it was a proper gesture. I cannot comprehend how the management can tolerate such a poorly operated eatery in such a lovely setting. Truly a shame. The only thing we could surmise is perhaps it's another high end money laundry as another reviewer opined about Air-Space restaurant and bar up the road in Takiat. We are once again in search of the perfect burger and hope we don't have to wait until the next kiteboard competition to find it.

  Great Burger

  Wonderful beach front restaurant resort. Walked in off the street for a late lunch to a very warm welcome. Food took a while not huge portions but all you needed All fresh ingredients and delicious. Staff were very friendly service second to none.

  on the beach

  Nice rooms. right on beach, air con works well when adjusted. most devices set on economical. air con fridge and hot water set to minimize costs. so have to reset. Our first round of cocktails didnt contain spirits so we went elsewhere. Breakfast options include american and thai but juices are cordial not fresh. Manager could have a better attitude and we more helpful. Staff seem overworked and a bit unfriendly. Lots of options for food, bars, massages, fresh fruit juices up and down main road. Also along beach. will come to this area again but probably to a different resort. The caged Mynah looks like it needs to be freed.
