  Old world charm!

  The hotel is located in the heart of Yercaud. One can just walk to the Yercaud lake. The hotel is nicely decorated and has an old world charm, but the cleanliness and upkeep of the premises is not done properly. If done properly the hotel will look very beautiful. They organize games and camp fire on Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights. The staff in restaurant is very courteous and give quick response but the housekeeping & room service staff are very lethargic and forget the requests being made to them. The hotel premise is surrounded by coffee estate and is very charming. The decor of the hotel is done in Victorian style. The wood fired pizza made here is very famous, but was not available during our stay. There is a coffee shop, but it was also closed during our stay.

  Very disappointing for a hotel associated with club mahindra

  We visited this hotel during COVID and since it is associated with Club Mahindra we thought all necessary precautions would be taken. We were surprised to see that no temperature checks were done and most staff members weren't wearing masks. The room's construction is such that it is not at all insulated, so it gets extremely cold at night and there is no AC to regulate the temperature as well. Intercoms were not working and since there is no cell reception in the room, I had to walk 30 feet from my hotel room to a spot with decent reception and make a call from my mobile. There was no proper menu to order from as well. Service was slow and food was average. Instead of water bottles, we had a leaking water can with dispenser kept in the room. Overall neatness was no up to the mark and the property isn't very well maintained. Hospitality was subpar but kudos to Yaser for being enthusiastic and compensating for other staff who seemed clueless. Location is pretty good though. Overall probably not too bad a hotel if offered at a reasonable price but having booked through Club Mahindra, we had certain expectations and to say it fell short would be an understatement. We were so disappointed that we checked out 2 days early and moved into another hotel in Yercaud. Surprisingly the staff at the reception weren't concerned about this and didn't even ask for feedback.

  Can get lost in nature ...Rooms are good but nothing else to be happy about

  We family of 3 visited the resort in Jan 2021 . Weather was as good as ooty. Rained on all the days of our stay. Pros : 1) Resort is in city itself and closer to tourist attraction 2) As resort is in city itself and Yercaud had 0 corona cases , we could get food and all at nearest veg hotel "saravana bhavana". Food was tasty and price was way better than resort prices Cons: 1) Resort doesnt have kids entertainment games room. The room which is dedicated is not at all maintained. Thus , children would get bored for sure after some time if staying at resort 2) Resort TV are very old one's except couple of rooms which had LED tv. Even if TV is working , channels which we got during our stay was only tamil channels and few channels which were free. No kids pack or english movie or hindi movie channels were added even after requesting for the same. After charging so much for rooms, I was expecting them to accommodate such request Even though we had carried Chromecast device with us, we could not use as there is no proper reception nor the resort provides good internet service. So we were literally away from internet services and media for 4 days. 3) No service unless you venture to reception area. No one bothered whether we were in resort or not. NO proper airtel/Jio/Vodafone signals. For any video calls one has to run near restaurant which was a big let down !!! Room we stayed was 307 and it had good view.

  The worst place in Yercaud

  We had booked ourselves in this resort and actually walked out seeing the sorry state of affair there. Club Mahindra is trying up with such bad, unclean stinking place. I almost nauseated after seeing the place. High time they close for a facelift. They location is beautiful and the staff is very courteous, but such a waste. Terrible, please do not visit this place Unless they are renovated.

  Very unpleasant stay at lake forest resort

  The rooms had a weird smell.the floor was not cleaned. The bathrooms were dirty. The couch was torn and the sponge was all coming off. The pillows were so hard.the floor was not mopped in ages I can guarantee.The blankets were too dusty. Maybe its just the room we got which was this bad. We even decided to vacate and shift to a better place but decided to stay for a day and cut short our days at the resort and returned a day early.The property boast about its heritage which even I agree. Atleast give it that respect by keeping the rooms clean and by maintaining what the beauty they have with them.the restaurant floor was way too sticky and not cleaned.the plates turned yellowish white. Had to keep searching for a clean plate from the stack. The staff is very polite and ever ready to help you. I have to say Mr Prince was very helpful. I liked the staff and must say that I did enjoy their hot pizzas. I dont think I would recommend this place to anyone.. please do try to dust and mop the rooms.
