  Nice hotel in the centre of the city

  Stayed here in a recent trip to see relatives in Liyang and the location could not have been better. Right in the centre and directly opposite a new mall with a Wall-mart and some good restaurants and within walking distance of others. Rooms fine, clean and functional with comfortable beds. Good bathrooms with both shower and bath. TV only had Channel News Asia in English. Breakfast was fine but limited choice. We would stay here again when we are next in town. The only shortcoming was the lack of English spoken by the staff but hardly surprising as this is a provincial town and there are very few foreign tourists around. Free wifi also a great bonus.

  Take some big books with you

  I stayed tin the hotel for 2 long weeks in April 20015. The employees try to do their best. The rooms are quiet and clean. You have wifi, but you will notice that you are fare away from everything. You can enter the website of your e-mail-provider, but even when you send out e-mails you will see, the e-mail won't be delivered. At least not to the intented person. Even though you get an OK. In the elevator you can see that the Hotel has KTV, Bar, Fitness center..... But better don't try to get there. You will find yourself in a 2 floor building site, which will never be finished. The breakfast is quite OK, they even offer a choice of "western" breakfast. The mainly chinese guest have obviously no problem with the "no smoking"-signs in the breakfast room, they just ignore it. So, you are sitting there, try to enjoy your breakfast and some guys next to you are smoking their incredibly stinky cigarrettes. If you are lucky, you can get a kind of beer in the early evening in that hotel. Entertainment? Weekend activities? - Zero Zero.

  nice business hotel

  Spent 1 night here on a business trip. Comparable to "American" hotels such as Hilton and Sheraton in greater Shanghai area. Comfortable bed, nice size room, separate shower and bathtub. Breakfast buffet mainly Asian food, small section for "American/Western" breakfast food.

  Nice hotel

  Stayed here for two nights. Large and clean rooms. Their TV is hard to operate since all are in Chinese. If you are with a Chinese, you can try traditional chinese food for dinner. Very few staff members speak English. There are few shopping malls and small shops where you can buy designer items and cheap stuff. People are very friendly and curious about south Asians. Overall nice stay.

  As great as it could be in Liyang

  The hotel itself is quite big and a little old. It's quite ok if you stay in the new section where the rooms are fresh and clean. Location is ok and there's a few ok )for being Chinese) shopping streets nearby. Walmart on the other side of the road recently closed...
