  Not 5*. Not even close.

  Hello, I read quite a few reviews before arriving here and I honestly thought I'd just give it a go- after all it is rated a 5* Hotel through Teletext holidays so I thought that it really couldn't be that bad... We arrived after 12pm. We had a long flight and a long day travelling. We were told only 1 drink was included on arrival then we had to pay. No problem but this was quite discourteous for a 5* hotel. We were charged 8euro for a vodka and coke. It was branded (which are not included-again unusual for a 5* but this is on the T&C'S so not grumbling too much there...) But 8euro! Rip off!! Over the time that we stayed in the hotel, we just ended up buying our own spirits and bottles of coke as the local stuff they serve is hideous. The bars all inclusive whiskey is like diesel and the vodka is about as smooth as sandpaper. Beer served in a nice warm but clean glass; red Wine is like something you would put on your chips! Very very very low quality alcohol! The pre mixed cocktails are something else altogether... Food was disgusting. I stuck to salad leaves on the 3 x I braved the restaurant. No social distancing- complete cattle market with Trotter soup and fried fish a delicacy. Queuing, pushing in, kids running all over, cats lurking round the dining room, no idea of where to sit and most the tables were full of pots and plates either with food on them or without so spent time aimlessly walking about looking for somewhere to sit. The Russians seemed to be enjoying the food (there's lots of them at this hotel) but I can't say it was for me... In general, I either skipped meals or ate out for the full fortnight! The place is generally very clean and tidy. Rooms are nice but basic for a 5* when looking at other competitors in the area. They are a decent size, comfortable and modern so no complaints with a good balcony! Interior areas are clean and well designed (except the cattle market of a restaurant). They lack maintenance i..e again cracked tiles, dripping air conditioning vents with mould around etc but generally well cleaned. Outside areas lack general maintenance. Lots of cracked tiles around the pool area, overgrown shrubbery, broken sunbeds, lack of tables for drinks, lack of ashtrays or areas to smoke etc. The pools are very nice though and the lazy river is good fun! One thing is clear, once the bar staff close the bar at 12pm they seem to 'pocket' the cash. I did go to the bar to purchase alcohol on a few occasions and the same drinks order frequently changed price. It also happened to a few members in my party. After some days, I watched them put the money in the pocket. The next time I ordered I asked for a till receipt just so I could be sure that the price I paid was correct... Ok so that didn't go down well. No receipt was produced or bar price list (in a 5* hotel)... Unusual, dodgy and a complete scam! Location is not Alanya which is about a 15-20min taxi ride costing around £12-15. Around the hotel its pretty rubbish- not much there- crap pebble ridden beach and beach bar that apparently is part of the hotel but I personally didn't use it. Lastly, the holiday for us was cheap when we booked it but I hate being told one thing and getting another i.e. this hotel was a 5*, it was sold to myself as a 5* yet had recently been downgraded to only a 3*!... which was also pushing it. We found this out whilst doing a little research when in the hotel. I personally would not have booked a 3* hotel in Turkey for this holiday as I wanted a little bit of luxury, good food and drink and to relax in a nice hotel for a fortnight in the sun- hence why I picked a '5*' hotel. Sorry but if I were you id change hotels if you can because to be honest the place is a sham!

  kahya is a good hotel with many things to do, great animation team especially Luto, who shouts chicken nugget at you lol, the food is quite repetitive so we did go out for food a few times but i can't fault anything else, great two weeks holiday.

  Get staff, lovely resort, terrible food, weird bar set up

  I cannot praise the staff enough, from the housekeepers, receptionists, animation staff and waiters, they are all brilliant. The resort is great for kids, lots to do. However, the food really lets the place down. We ended up eating out most evenings and a couple of times for breakfast. Lastly, if you want to drink spirits then prepare yourself for a hike to the Lobby bar, as you can only get beer and soft drinks from the the pool and beach bars.

  Amazing stay at this hotel food was wonderful room service was excellent very clean and tidy hotel staff very respectfull Luto is your go to guy for any activity you want to do will be coming back very soon

  Beautiful hotel

  We have been going to turkey for over 18 years and I have to say the kayha was 1 if the best hotels we have stayed in absolutely beautiful clean rooms bar staff and all the waiters are fantastic the housekeeping team do a absolutely amazing job keeping the rooms clean and fresh the pools was brilliant but I have to say the lazy river was my favorite the only downside was all the Russians who are rude arrogant people the way they was just demanding things from all the staff especially the bar staff was disgusting ...nether the less I would love to still go back next year but I'm having trouble finding the hotel on jet2 holidays
