  Wonderful oasis in trying times!

  We were diverted here by our tour company during a Vietnam/Cambodia trip under the shadow of Covid-19, as we needed to be handy for Phnom Penh airport should any repatriation flights become available. I can only say that the hotel was a lovely clean friendly place, beautifully decorated and with the most helpful staff imaginable! The two pools available, although limited for bed space options were a blessing when needing to cool down during the day, and the bar was well stocked for beers, shorts and cocktails, always welcome! We were on a Bed & Breakfast basis and the Breakfasts provided were nice with a choice of both western and local dishes. Whilst staying there we needed help finding a chemist for prescription medication, assistance with a police report and use of hotel printing facilities, the staff and management were so helpful in all of these for which we are really thankful. All this and the hotel supports the 'Pour un Sourire d'Enfant (PSE)' charity, providing training and support for impoverished children to give them a chance in life.

  A wonderful place to stay

  This hotel s simply the perfect place to relax in the city centre. Rooms are huge well appointed and spotless. The staff are all extremely efficient as well as friendly helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. From the efficient check in process to the very special send off that makes you feel like an old friend everything is done to make your stay as perfect as possible. The food is good too and very reasonably priced for the quality of hotel and the location. Breakfast is very good with excellent coffee too! Added to this the hotel is part of a scheme that supports and trains poor children (often from the street) and then gives them employment. So you can even feel good about having such a wonderful time!

  A hidden gem

  My fiancé and I were trying to find a quiet hotel with nice Ambiance in Phnom Penh that allowed us to feel like we were on holiday and away from the fast pace, construction heavy city. We were so lucky to have found La Rose. In addition to all our wants, they had a staff that was and is first class! At the front desk, Ms Thineth went above and beyond every day for us. Ms Pheaktra was always there with a warm smile and offering to help. The food at the restaurant is a top 3 for us in Phnom Penh. We ate there breakfast, lunch and dinner for 4 days and nights... breakfast unbelievable. Thank you Ms Sokea for an amazing experience every morning. Then for lunch and dinner, thank you Ms May. We were always treated like royalty, every request granted. The food was so good we took a cooking class there for a half day. Ms Tevy, the afternoon chef spoiled us and left us we new understanding of curry, yellow and green, salads, Tom Yam soup and more. They again spoiled us with additional staff throughout the day. Many thanks to all of you! I had a massage every day with Ms Sophal which was like being in heaven- thank you. Finally we have to call out the general manager- Ms Srey Touch... she was always present, always helping, she was at our cooking class the entire time helping me with the English while Ms Tevy handled the Khmer. Ive traveled the world over the last 4 years and this was the one of only 3 places I have sent a review on, and the only one that I asked for the staffs names to make sure to give them their due recognition. It was a sad day leaving, but we know we will return. For any we have forgotten to mention, thank you, you were all wonderful. I believe this always begins with management leading by example and so we leave you Ms Touch saying great job.

  I have spent about 2 months at La Rose Suites 4 years ago. The hotel was brand new then. Complete safety. Absolute calm. All amenities assured complete comfort and satisfaction, in a high taste Cambodian style and touches. All staff were extremely helpful and always smiling, always well advising and willing to go the extra mile to help. I remember the gracious lady Lycim and the tall gentleman who was the manager. Reception staff were courteous, as well as all the personnel (housekeeping, room service, bar and pool attendants, gate guards, massage suites staff as well as recommended tuk tuk drivers). Internet was perfect, free of charge, at all premises. Location is excellent, very close to landmark of PP, Independence Monument. I would love to come again, and do certainly highly recommend La Rose Suites for business as well as leisure travellers. Keep the good work up, guys. Orkun

  Fantastic people and wonderful bath

  I live in Phnom Penh and stayed here for just one night, mainly because I really wanted a bath as my apartment doesn't have one and then was offered a good deal. The bath was amazing with lashings of hot water but the main plus for this place was the people. All young, friendly and professional, they could give the staff at some of the fancier hotels a run for their money! It is Khmer hospitality at it's best with Cambodian style design throughout. I was comfortable and very relaxed staying here, with more birds and butterflies than I've seen anywhere in Cambodia on my small balcony. The pool is small and I didn't go in but chilled on the sun beds with the waterfall effect going on - was lovely despite being so close to the road- you wouldn't have known. The Banana Tree restaurant is great too with a 20% discount for guests and I loved the fresh juices and home made jam at breakfast. I'll definitely go back and will give the spa treatments a go - again with a generous discount. Thank you everyone at La Rose!
