  Family-run gem of a hotel

  We've just returned from 5 days here with our two children (both of whom are under 10) The owners couldn't do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible and the location is perfect for both the fabulous beaches and bustling town of Bois-Plage-En-Re. Cycle hire is a must but with two young children, afternoons spent by the small but pretty pool, were ideal. The continental breakfast was spot on and our lovely room was spacious and scrupulously clean. The setting is idyllic, the rooms are actually low-rise cottages on either side of a winding path, each with their own little terrace. A truly magical place.

  A little gem

  Stayed at La Villa for three nights in July, and we really enjoyed the hotel and the friendly service. Located a short walk from the nearest beach in one direction and the village center in the other, the location is very convenient. The room was nicely appointed with plenty of space for two. The pool area is enclosed and have comfortable sun beds. Breakfast selection had everything you would need. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but you can buy drinks and lighter snacks. The owners are really friendly and service minded. We got a lot of good tips and information about what to do and see on the island. Would definitely stay there again.

  Little piece of paradise

  We have just spent 3 nights here. It was a simple, friendly and comfortable place to stay, The hosts were extremely helpful and charming. The hamman was relaxing and the pool and garden areas very well kept. There were some quirky features eg the sliding door on the bathroom. However everything from the well sourced breakfast to the giant hot tub is designed to enhance your well being and it does. We will be back.

  Have to say disappointed

  Having booked after seeing great reviews I was very disappointed with standard of rooms. Saying that staff were very friendly especially Christopher. Very charming and informative. Rooms let it down badly.

  Scammed - Non trustable

  We reserved in the Hotel for a few days in September. Due to travel restrictions we had to cancel the booking one day after the booking. After speaking several times with the owners they promised to provide a credit note refund, which never happened. Never responding to e-mails and always claiming to be too busy on the phone, so they did not have to deal with the issue. Last time we spoke they said they were closing the administrative year and again promised a credit note, we are still waiting. Although they have the legal right to charge the money in full (which they of course did), I would have hoped for a reliable and respectful approach. I don't have an opinion on the hotel itself, but the style of management on this issue has neither been fair nor trustable. Enjoy my money, I hope karma does the rest.
