  Very disappointing experience

  Was booked into this hotel and arrived late at night so I did not properly take into account the surroundings/environment and quality of the hotel. Now is the third night and I can tell you that most of the photos taken of the hotel have been very cleverly framed. In fact it's all a bit of an illusion. Yes. The location is ok and fairly peaceful and the lobby is large. But they are the ONLY plus points. This hotel says 'international' and it is NOT with no staff able to speak English except with the use of sign language and a dictionary!! Almost comical. In the end it becomes an ordeal to try and communicate even the most basic requirement. This is 2015 not the 'dark ages'. As for the hotel itself. The fittings are worn and old. The rooms are small and cramped. The hotel corridors are oppressively hot.The floor of my room was worn and cracked. No carpet. No hint of luxury. Hardly any plug sockets in the room. None in the vast lobby. Some didn't even work. Had breakfast. Where to start? Coffee in an old fashioned filter jug was absolutely cold and it took 30 minutes for me to get the staff to understand that in the West and the USA and in fact most countries around the world, we drink coffee HOT. There was a toaster but bread stale. Someone 'cooking' eggs did me two fried eggs which were just about edible though covered in oil. Her attitude was hostile as was some other members of hotel staff almost regarding a foreign visitor as a bit of a hinderence. The sheer lack of even the most basic English makes this hotel a complete NO GO area for any business traveller from outside China in my opinion. Very disappointing. Do not let the front of the hotel/appearance fool you.
