  Excellent hotel with perfect location and genuine wine & food

  We loved our stay at this hotel located perfectly 20 mins for both Venice and Chioggia which is nostalgic fisherman village by direct bus. The room was very clean and it had country side views. We will not forget about his home made genius wine, tasty prosciutto, cheese, home baked bread and nice conversation. Thank you for everything! I will come back again.

  Good accommodation in good location

  Every time, when I visit Venice by car, I book accommodation in Locanda Zabotto. Good location in good price, very friendly owner, clean rooms, quite fast wifi, breakfast, good wine and good coffee :), free save parking. Next to the hotel bus stop to Venice, that you get to in 20-30 minutes.

  Very nice family hotel

  The reason for our overnight stay in this family hotel was due to the foggy weather we encountered on the day our cruise ship was due to arrive back into Venice but not allowed to dock for a further 11 Hours as the Port had closed due to thick fog. Consequently like hundreds of other passengers we missed our flight back to the UK and needed an emergency overnight accommodation. Fortunately we were able to find this friendly and affordable Hotel & Restaurant situated in Lugo (suburb of Venice) located 30 minutes away from the main Piazza Roma in central Venice, accessible by bus No 80E @ 4.80 Euro one way per person. Ask the bus driver to stop you at Lugo, you will see the hotel on the right onside of the main road next to the road bridge. The Owner/Manager Signor Franco was very obliging and very hospitable . Franco offered an excellent service and a relaxing overnight stay. The hotel was clean and comfy, we slept in a comfortable bed, the room was spacious and tranquil at a cost of 57 euro for two persons including continental Breakfast x2, comprising farmhouse Bread, croissants, Ham, cheese, orange juice and Cappuccino coffee etc Everything was very nice. Considering our initial adversity, our stay at the Locanda Zabotto was an excellent choice coupled by a wonderful day in Venice and would thoroughly recommend this family hotel. Mario Albertini

  Clean, modern hotel close to the Romea

  We rowed to the area from Venice, moored nearby and stayed here for the evening, nice hot showers and a simple meal. A good night's sleep followed by a buffet breakfast. The rooms were modern and clean. Nearby there is an excellent WWF site which merits a visit.

  Close to the action!!

  Locanda Zabotto is just 25 km. and less than a 40 minute bus ride away from Venice. The hotel is located just off of SS309, you cross over a small canal and you are there. It is not that far off the main road, but noise is not a problem. The advantage of being so close to SS309 is that you can just cross over and catch the bus that takes you right into Venice. The bus lets you off at a main bus station, Piazzale Roma, from which you walk down to the canals and take a water taxi into the Centro Storico. At the end of your travels, you return and catch the bus back. The cost for the two of us, 16 euro return, no hassle, and worry free. Locanda Zabotto is a modern, pleasant looking hotel, in a very pleasant, rural setting, on the outskirts of the town of Lugo. There is plenty of free parking, so why not take advantage of the easy access to public transit. A continental breakfast is included, served in a pleasant room, which I believe, also serves as a restaurant. Our hotel room was clean and modern, the bed was comfortable, there was air con, and free wifi was also available. We were here for two nights and it was a welcoming place to return to. This a family run establishment and the owner/operator, Frank, who speaks good english, is very helpful with information. (He also makes a great latte). Staying at the Locanda Zabotto makes a lot of sense. It has very reasonable rates, it is a place away from the bustle, but still "close to the action". A longer stay would be nice as this area as this seems to be in "the thick of things"! We did't even get into Lugo. Well as is always the case, a return visit is in order!
