  Interesante hotel rutero

  Hotel rutero tipo pelicula estadounidense, Atendido por sus dueños , un matrimonio de gente grande muy amable que te ayuda e intenta vender excursiones para que el huesped conozca mejor la ciudad. Habitaciones con particularidades antiguas tales como un hidromasaje chino del año 2000 que tiene funciones varias pero es medio bizarro en la actualidad. Frazadas electricas para calentar la cama. Como digo , para una noche de paso esta bien. No más.

  False Advertising

  We made the mistake of booking through booking.com and not reading any reviews. Do not stay here - what you see you do not get. We had a page long list of complaints which we put to the manager after one nights stay and asked for our money back. He said he could not do this but offered us a room at his own motel in Fenton Road at no extra cost. This we took after reviewing the room first. This place should not be advertised for booking. No sky TV, smoke alarm with no battery, shower door did not close, hence water all over floor. The list just goes on and on. Pool area dirty and disgusting. Whole place looks abandoned and no office staff on site.

  DISGUSTING DON'T STAY IN THIS DIVE

  After arriving from the Wairakei Resort in Taupo we were bitterly disappointed with this place which is probably really only fit for bulldozing. Made this booking through Booking.com for 4 nights in October, worst ever stay. Sadly Booking.Com gave this run-down hovel 4+ star rating, their photos looked lovely however, on inspection we were extremely disappointed its lucky to hit a 3 star. The office says open from 8am 8pm. We arrived at around 1pm no one in and the office as locked, it had a mobile number stuck to the door saying for emergencies ring xxxx we rang the number and a Chinese man arrived took our money and checked us in. Once in the unit we quickly noticed that there was only 1 coffee cup, 1 teacup and no Tea bags. After phoning the man he brought them to us. The coffee cups did not match, and one had a chip in it. The shower was a circular upright stand in spa shower, we opened it and one half of the circular door fell off. It was extremely dirty around the various spa faucets, we contacted the manager again then we went out, on arrival back the door was fixed. Later that evening I went to have a shower, I could not get the water flowing in many of the clogged up tap fawcetts, I rang the manager he came over and he also had difficulty with the taps he finally managed to show us how to turn on the shower taps. An hour later we tried again to no avail, the shower was hopeless. At 9.30 I contacted the owner by text and said we would not be staying the next 3 nights due to the dirtiness throughout the unit. Black mould on the ceiling and also in the doorless wardrobe, curtains were ripped, the VDV player had a remote with no batteries, the TV was a cheap small local supermarket purchased one with very poor sound quality. The smoke alarm detector was hidden away on the top shelf of the doorless wardrove and had no batteries installed. The hotel info book said people admired the gardens, what we saw was weeds everywhere, especially in the hanging baskets, outside cut down trees lined the parameter, with graffiti scribbled on the outside of this run down complex so that people driving past clearly saw it. The manager refused to refund 3 nights and took one night in compensation however a family member had booked another room for 3 nights and the manager would not refund us at all. We had the credit card people stop any payments for those 3 nights. Booking.com were helpful to a certain extent, we tried to resolve the issue with the manager of the complex he simply would not listen, he kept saying we have to deal with Booking.com and Booking.com were saying we have to deal with the manager. In the end we lost out but I felt Booking.Com were also at fault as they advertised the Malfroy Motor Lodge in Rotorua as a 4+ star resort, from the photos I have attached, you the reader of this, must agree that the rating should be reduced to clearly and fairly represent what is on offer, graffiti on the walls, ripped curtains and absolute filth is not what is portrayed on their website, a website replied on by holiday makers in choosing where they want to stay, Booking.Com need to clearly redefine the current state of this hovel, they have had these photos for over 3 weeks.

  Catfished

  We were visiting for a romantic weekend away to find we had been catfished big time. I booked here through booking.com and they were advertising with beautiful photos, advertised a spa and pool etc, this was not the case. As approaching the motel on the road with the gps, we were hoping by outside looks it was not the place we had booked, unfortunately it was. We had been told earlier that the key was inside the room already and to just enter when we arrived. We did. The inside wasn't much better than the outside. Very dated, the photos look like they were taken 20 years ago. Luckily for us we only booked 1 night and we had plans out late in the evening and early in the morning. Pink mold in the bathroom, the linen and towels all were stained and gross, carpet is very worn, to the point of threads, blinds were greasy to touch, in general the place looks like it needs a thorough good clean, and updating the rooms is necessary. I wouldnt recommend staying here! Better to pay a bit more and get better quality.

  disgusting

  sorry this place is no where near what is advertised and certainly not soundproof as advertised. The traffic was so loud it sounded in my room. The place is fifthly and neglected. and he overcharged and wouldn't refund. It was so bad I had to leave as I am immune compromised. We stayed only one hour and that one one hour 2 long. the pool gate was rusted and didn't lock so watch out for the little kids. Mold in shower. dirt. broken furniture. worn carpet and this place advertised itself as a 4 star.
