  The Great Escape...

  I stayed here recently and loved the energy of the place, the cottages are really beautiful and comfortable. Perfectly located just outside Margaret River and really close to a bunch of awesome wineries. They also have some cute farm animals which the owners feed morning and afternoon, great if you have kids and want them to have some cute fluffy interaction. I loved the fire pit which is lit every night, a great place to enjoy some wine and the outdoors. The owners are really hospitable and no request is too much for them

  Not quite Hawaii but...

  Straight off the bat, let me say that Andrew, Jules, and family are wonderful hosts. Our experience began several months before we visited. Covid-19 ruined an otherwise perfect bucket list family Hawaiian adventure leaving me stressed out trying to cancel and recoup money whilst scheduling a replacement trip closer to home in order to celebrate a significant milestone birthday for my wife. Andrew was soooo easy to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble from the initial accommodation booking through to outdoor movie screenings, internet for kids, animal feeding, and local restaurant recommendations. The location is just out of Marg's but close enough that everything in town is readily accessible. The grounds are quaint with outdoor cinema, animal feeding area, fireplace (winter only), kids playground, BBQ area, swimming pool, games room, and basketball court. There's something here for everyone! Our brick cottage slept 4 people comfortably in 2 bedrooms (1 dbl, 2 singles), with separate kitchen and family area plus a combined bathroom/toilet/laundry. All crockery & cutlery is provided, large size TV & DVD player (with movies), plus toaster, kettle, coffee machine, fridge etc. Bath/Laundry is equipped with a washing machine, toilet, and shower. Soaps, shampoos, bog roll, laundry liquid etc are all provided...its these little extras that show how much Andrew and Jules care about their guests! Animal feeding is 8am and 5pm every day with kids also getting a "tractor ride" afterwards. Atmosphere is sooo relaxed, friendly, and family friendly. We have travelled extensively across SW of WA in years past but admittedly not for sometime. There were always a few issues here and there with most places we visited. Its really hard to find fault with MRHC however...its no Hilton Hotel...but if that's what you're hoping for, you're looking at the wrong venue. We're thankful to be still able to getaway on holidays, still celebrate a significant birthday, still spend quality family time together...and do so in a lovely venue, operated by a lovely family.   Magical trip with children

  We booked directly with Margaret river holiday cottages and Andrew was helpful right from the get go. He recommended we stay in cottage 4, we have three children aged 7, 5 and six months old. Cottage four had great views to the play area which is where the children spent most of their time, in amongst feeding the animals in the morning, making new friends and playing in the indoor heated pool area. Andrew and Jules put on a communal barbecue on New Years Eve which was really lovely, and the outdoor movies were a big hit with our children. The cottage itself was pretty basic, but it had the essentials including a working kitchen, coffee machine, TV and washing machine. We stayed in the summer so it was a nice temperature, however there were a few bugs and spiders floating around as you'd expect. Thank you so much Andrew and Jules for being such great hosts, Im sure Julia will be pestering us to see Jonah and Max very soon again.

  The Perfect Family Getaway

  We stayed here recently in a 2 bedroom brick cottage (family of 4 with kids aged 3 and 5) and it was absolutely incredible. Jules and Andrew have created an amazing and unique experience for their guests. MR Holiday Cottages encourages quality time for the kids and parents alike. Plenty of hands on interactions with a range of animals, a playground and fire pit area that encourages socialization of the kids and adults, Max's Movies and truck rides after animal feeding every morning..... our kids wanted to spend more time here than at any of the other places we visited whilst in the SW. The rooms have been renovated and are comfortable with all required modern amenities. Andrew is a genuinely great bloke that takes the time to ensure the guests get the most out of the stay and feel at home on their property. We cannot wait to visit again!

  Fantastic Family Stay

  From booking our stay (and even after we came home) the service provided by Drew has been second to none. We stayed for a week, and had no complaints, but only compliments. I found the information booklet and the messages leading upto our stay very helpful.. The facilities were ideally suited to our young family aged 5 and 7 who loved playing in the cubby house and mud kitchen. There is a well-stocked DVD library in the pool area and a indoor pool which was brilliant. The location was great and is peaceful, the daily feeding time and buggy rides were eagerly anticipated by our children. The cabin was clean and tody as are the sitewide facilities, every day they are cleaned and tidied up. The location is perfect and has quick access to caves road. We enjoyed the fresh woodfired bread, which is just down the road. Each loaf didnt last long. We will come and stay again, it was a fantastic break
