  Un lugar difícil de olvidar

  Situado en la orilla del lago Shikotsu, cerca del aeropuerto de Chitose en Hokkaido, es uno de los ryokanes que dejan huella. Con carretera de acceso exclusiva, ofrece la posibilidad de descansar, en cualquier época del año, en un lugar paradisiaco. Con vistas extraordinarias del lago, del amanecer, tanto desde la habitación como desde cualquiera de los onsenes naturales que ofrece. La experiencia del baño nocturno en el rotenburo que conecta con el lago es extraordinaria. Se accede a este baño a través del bosque, por un pasillo de madera cubierto. La cena muy buena y el desayuno buffet con predominio japonés. Desde el hotel se pueden hacer interesantes excursiones en la zona.

  Instagenic hot spring, excellent breakfast

  I could not be more disappointed when the staff told me they don't have a cold bath, so I tried skinny dipping in the lake itself and almost froze, even in spring or summer it's about freezing temp. The view is what you pay for, and it is first class, one of a kind, unforgettable. Sunrise was remarkable. Best ever. The baths water quality were just surprisingly mediocre. Again its the scenery and the instagenic effect you pay for. I was able to upgrade to the smoke free room w/half board breakfast only. It was an incredible meal. Maybe 1of my best ever, including luscious cakes. Another downer was the fridge in the room. It was turned off when I checked in, so it urged it on, placed my take-out meal inside and came back to find it hot! The fridge had no temp control and took ages to warm up. I informed the staff but was told all fridges are the same. No temp control. Beware of these issues if you plan to stay here. Enjoy the food and view. Don't expect much from the baths, unless you like cold showers.

  Really enjoy outdoor onsen looking over the lake seeing sun rise

  Reasonably priced, shuttle from Sapporo JR is convenient. Good indoor and outdoor onsen, dinner is good (about half of mine is BBQ style) but I definitely enjoy more if it can be served in room. Breakfast is very nice, lots of choices and all taste great. Private onsen is good too but it ill not be opened till 11:00am. Every people work there are friendly and polite, no problem in communicating in English. Little problem at first when I tried to reserve a room via their website because I used a yahoo email. Want to return next year when going to Hokkaido again.

  Wonderful one night stay

  Had a wonderful time at the onsen last week. Room came with dinner and buffet breakfast, was quite taken aback when the room didn't come with a shower but we managed by booking a private onsen at night, also it was winter so it wasn't much of an issue. Staff were very helpful, we had a wonderful time and a good view of Lake Shikotsu from our room.

  Nice location, not makntained at all

  Where should we start... weve bern to many ryokan before, but this experience was by far the worst. The first room we were offered was full of old stains that had visibly been there for years, the tatami was frayed, it was simply unhabitable. The second room had less stains, but they too were all over the place and had been ignored by the staff for years as well. There was an old trash bag from customers between the window and the completely rusted gutter that had been sitting there for at least 2 years. The sink started to stink in the morning like something had been rotting there forever too. The dinner was good, the breakfast was ok but both not ryokan level. The baths are really beautiful and the only real reason to go there but i advise you to do it as a day visitor as staying at this accommodation is a huge waste of time any money. You can see that this was once a really nice place when it was built in 1918 but the management is not maintaining the facilities at all and this must have been going on for decades.
