  A lovely, small and friendly hotel, with excellent service.

  We really enjoyed our 2-night stay at this hotel. The owner and his wife couldn't do enough for us and made our stay a real pleasure. A lovely, full breakfast and a great meal selection for the evening, plus a very comfortable room with a queen size bed. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a short break.

  Friendly hotel with excellent service

  We had a weekend break at the Mafield and found the staff to be friendly, polite and helpful at all times. The bar service, restaurant and breakfast was excellent. Our room overlooked the garden and was clean and inviting.

  Great stay

  I had a great time, despite the cover-19 issue. The staff, food and room were all excellent. The staff did everything in their power to ensure that everything went really well. we had an electrify outage on my first night, but that was only seen as am occasion to create a great atmosphere and to show their ability to cook great food under really difficult circumstances. I will certainly be going back again very soon!!

  Homely hotel, Amazing restaurant

  The hotel felt homely and was comfortable. However the restaurant is the real standout performer and deserves 5 stars as it served 2 of the best meals that we have ever had. We each had 3 courses, all of which were excellent.

  Wish we could have stayed ! !!!

  We were forced to pay the full value of the stay when we made the reservation. The Hotel closed over the lockdown period and then re-opened. However when we were due to stay last weekend it was closed again. No notification of closure from the actual hotel, instead we received a further confirmation of reservation the very day we were due to stay !!!. Tried to make contact regarding a refund, with the hotel, however no one answers the phone or responds to emails etc and Best Western are unwilling to help. What further do we need to do to get our monies back !!!
