  Just wonderful

  Great place for dinner, book early as very popular. Super service, fantastic food, lovely place to dine on the island. Thanks Jessie for the ride home. The whole island is such an experience and the locals are so welcoming.

  excellent staff

  Andrea, Liz, Claudia and Marnie all very helpful at MWV when we were off loaded by Qantas for an extra 2 days. Villas very clean and comfortable would suggest staying in a superior room for a superior experience Luckily Andrea put us up for extra nights after unexpected and very upseting off load by Qantas!!

  Perfect!

  We could not fault Milky Way Villas. The location, near to the beach, the shops and walks is ideal, however it was the apartments themselves that impressed us. Every possible thing has been though of such as a handy picnic/barbecue set, a back pack, bandaids, a torch. The units are stylish, comfortable and immaculately clean and the ladies do a great job. Daily visits from Andrea ensure you are booked in somewhere for dinner and that you are happy. Well done Andrea, what a welcoming environment. The restaurant was also delightful with friendly & smiling wait staff.

  Paradise

  If you are looking for a bit of paradise on earth , come here. Perfect location and friendly hosts. Accommodation is basic but has everything you could possibly wish for. Hosts will take you free of charge into town to local restaurants for evening meals. Island itself is wonderful. Didnt want to leave.

  Great retreat close to Old Settlement Beach

  We spent a week at Milky Way and thoroughly enjoyed it. A great place to relax and unwind. It was so quiet without any traffic and the beach/bush so close. The villas are well appointed, have comfortable bedding and facilities, and are most convenient to all the LHI shops and walks and beaches from the lagoon northward. We were greeted with a 'breakfast' pack that lasted a few days and appreciated Jozette's personal service each morning as she requested if we needed any help with transport and anything else. It was a truly personal service. Both the lagoon and Ned's Beach are great places to snorkel (corals, fish of many different sizes., turtles, and sea grasses) and Old Settlement is good for turtles. The units themselves are set in a tropical garden with many mature trees and palms both just outside your unit and surrounding the property. We were able to do a loop walk from Milky Way to Ned's Beach, up onto Malabar (209m) and along the cliff tops to Kim's lookout (182m) and then down along the Max Nichols' path to Old Settlement beach - about 4kms with some steep sections but worth the effort. Many views from the cliff tops or birds wheeling below, of native orchids along the track and different vegetation and rock types. We hired bikes for the week ($60 each from Wilson's Hire). These were so useful as we cycled to coffee at the Coral Café, the museum attached to it, Joy's place nearby for supermarket requirements and souvenirs, and the start of a variety of walks in the middle of the island.
