  Hola y adios...

  Solo un hotel para pasar una noche. La ubicacion es muy buena, en un bonito lugar de la ciudad. La atencion no demasiada esmerada. No hay desayuno. Lo llamativo es que a las 6 de la tarde se va todo el personal y le dan a el huesped un papelito con una clave para abrir la puerta de entrada despues de esa hora. Esta bien que hay camaras de seguridad, pero entra cualquiera que tenga la clave. Las habitaciones son pequeñas y algo antiguas. El precio demasiado alto para este tipo de hotel (tal vez Menton tenga precios altos en todos los servicios turisticos) No me gustó para nada.

  Mejor de lo que pensaba!

  La verdad que con la puntuación que tenía me lo pensé mucho pero era lo más económico y para una noche pues me decidí! Y la verdad que mi experiencia ha sido muy buena, excepto por el wifi (el 2do día, no se conectaba, aunque el primer día me fue bien, y en la habitación que mucha gente dice que es solo en el vestíbulo). El desayuno no lo cogi ya que 8 me parece excesivo! Sobre la limpieza diaria no puedo decir nada porqué solo he estado una noche pero la verdad todo estaba muy bien cuando llegué! Y la habitación en si genial!! 5ta planta con ascensor, balcón y unas vistas geniales! Sin duda repetiría con el precio que tiene!

  three star hotel with a two start feel

  The hotel is in a brilliant location, close to the old town and port and only a short walk from the train station. Our room was small but in was one of their cheaper rooms so no problem and from the balcony there was a nice view of the sea in one direction and the hills of Menton in the other -so far so good. Unfortunately the location is the best feature of this hotel which is rated three stars but has a very two star feel. The décor is tired and shabby, especially the bathroom. Normally we would overlook this aspect but when the rest of the offer was so poor we wondered how the hotel has a three star rating. When we arrived in the evening the reception was closed so we had to get ourselves in using a door code ( which worked on the forth attempt). This set the scene. Everything on offer was very basic, no extras , for example there was just one small thin bath sized towel between the two of us. Internet is described as available but only worked in the rather chilly reception area ( despite the signal being strong in our room the link was interrupted if we tried to connect). So on our last evening after a lovely meal in Menton we return to our room and I prepare this review while drinking our own whisky and eating our own chocolate ( strictly forbidden according to a notice in the lift). Not a lot of choice as reception is closed and the mini bar has virtually nothing in it. They can't get me for it!

  Tiny room, no internet access.

  Desk closes at night. No wifi, asked manager to reset modem, she said she did,but still no wifi. Rooms are small. Manager just argued that there was wifi, but no. I was not happy about this hotel and I would not recommend it.

  Excellent location

  The hotel is within comfortable walking distance of so many sights and restaurants. Easy to check in. Limited parking is supposed to be available on-site, but I parked in the Town Hall car-park on the next block which was easy to access and secure. My room was comfortable and a good size. It was nice to have a little balcony with a view. The bathroom had poor lighting this could be why the mould on tiles in the shower hasnt been noticed or cleaned. Also, the liquid soap dispenser is on the wall next to the basin on the other side of the dark bathroom if youre already in the shower! You might want to take your own soap, unless youre happy to step out of the bath to get some from the wall dispenser. At check-in I was given a remote control for the TV, and I was told there was another one in the room Id also have to use. Very confusing. In the end I could get sound but no pictures. Good thing theres so much to do in Menton that I really didnt need the TV! Given that the Fête du Citron was happening, I was charged high-season rates, which is reasonable. This is not a cheap hotel!
