  Horrible customer service

  The woman that manages the front desk and guessing also the restaurant was so rude. Absolutely no respect for the guests in the resort, the staff speak very little English and cannot even understand the simplest of sentences such as can we please have 4 new towels we were then given floor mats. Very frustrating. They have a pool amenities on premisis but expect all guest to use their own personal towels. Never have I ever had to stay at a motel that has a pool and doesnt supply the guest with towels. When asking the same so called lady manager if we can please have towels for the pool she straight away got her back up started yelling at me telling me to read the pamphlet that they dont supply towel to then me walking away because she was getting quite loud to her then following me out of the reception area and still yelling at me that its budget accomodation, use your own towel so overall customer service was a complete let down. The room we booked online was a deluxe 2 bedroom apartment all I can say is false advertising. Do not always rely on photos, we were given two adjoining rooms with a double bed and single bed in each. If that was deluxe I would HATE to see what a regular room looks like. Cairns New Chalon you will be never see us again

  Wonderful Restaurant.

  We stayed here in early December and even though the Hotel is a little dated it is very clean. The owners also have a restaurant attached to the motel & the food is exceptional. Our room had a small kitchenette in it which was very handy . The staff & owners were very friendly & obliging. The pool was a bonus . We would recommend the Cairns New Chalon.

  Beautiful place, great location!

  I stayed here in 2017, not 2019 but it wouldnt allow me to change it. This place was great! A multi-story complex with units scattered around a pool that lit up blue of an evening. I thought noise would be an issue but we didnt hear much at all during our stay, just background playful banter of people in the pool enjoying themselves. The staff were super friendly but their English wasnt great. They were a little slow upon check-in but standard for the usual rush hour. I havent had a chance to get back to Cairns since but Id definitely stay here again.

  Comfortable stay

  Bargain accommodations, you get what you pay for, no frills, rooms clean and tidy, bed was comfortable, air conditioner worked well, pool area was very nice, restaurant take away was great, all in all we had a nice couple of day.

  Nice little place to relax

  We stayed here just before NYE for 4 nights. Was so inexpensive very comfortable and clean. The pool area is very nicely decorated with lots of plants shells and solar lights. Chinese restaurant was lovely a little $$ but the food exquisite! Staff all very friendly and very accomodating. Rooms a little run down but clean and comfortable.
