  Horrible staff

  Good standard room with AC. But the staff was so unfriendly that it ruined the atmosphere. Before we paid for the room he was very friendly, after this he never said a friendly word again. And we really tried to be as friendly as possible.

  nice, clean room - just not prepared for the cold!

  So we visited Luang Prabang during the freakishly cold weather and this place was not geared up to deal with it at all, along with every single other building in the city, if not country, so they can't be blamed for that. The room was very small but nice and clean with a good sized, comfy double bed. Room was just about big enough for the bed, two backpacks and two backpackers but the bathroom was a decent size, running along the side of the room. Shower was hot in spells and would certainly have done the job had it not been so cold, but unfortunately we couldn't risk the hot water not coming cus it was too cold, but shower will be perfectly sufficient any other time of year. Staff can't speak much english but the main person we dealt with looked pretty young and he did his best and everything that needed to get done did do. we booked into another hostel that we really did not like once we got there (Kounsavan) and so grabbed our bags and went on the hunt. This place cost 50p per night more and is in a great location, down a side street just along from the main market street. Very quiet and pretty. Wifi worked well enough for Whatsapp and Facebook messenger, aslong as you're patient. Would recommend this place for a couple for sure. You won't make friends here but just go for a drink at the bowling alley after 12, you'll know what I mean when you get there. Definitely do go there too, we weren't sure if we should but even just once if it's not your thing, it's definitely an experience and we had two really funny nights there. Enjoy!

  Lovely room, comfy bed, amazing location

  I'm not sure how this place has only got 3 stars. If you have stayed in a lot of budget hotels, you will see how great this place is. For 12 USD a night you are in the centre of town, there's air con and hot water and the room is quiet and clean with a the softest bed we have slept in, in 6 months in SE asia. We also have good wifi signal in our room. A lot of people have mentioned that the owner isn't super friendly but I'm not sure why that makes a difference to your stay. He just minds his own business.

  Didn't honour reservation

  I arrived at the guesthouse at 8:30pm after an international flight to find that they had given my room away and had no vacancy, despite booking weeks in advance. The owner (?) basically got mad and yelled at me when I tried to show him my reservation and was not helpful at all. Overall it was a very unnecessary aggressive experience for a solo female traveler in a country that has otherwise been very friendly. There are plenty of other guesthouses nearby, I would highly recommend going somewhere else.

  Great budget guesthouse

  My second time to Nittaya because of quiet location, good price and great owners! Bike rentals right there and always helpful. They organized my laundry and helped me find great restaurants. They don't do breakfast but there's so many choices close by including best coffee at Saffron. Planning my next visit to Nittaya!
