  I was initially slightly disappointed that the place didnt have a 5-star feel having read all the fantastic reviews on Tripadvisor, and the breakfast was a let-down as well. At the time we stayed there (this is a late review, so I'm not sure if they've changed the set-up), the place seemed like a make-shift area (next to the check-in area) and the staff clearing the plates and replenishing the food were dressed in t-shirts and half-cut pants (making the whole place feel even more casual). Air-conditioning was also lacking at the breakfast area. I also didn't like that housekeeping used the same lifts as guests, and their trolley was also often parked right in front of the lift. Now that the negatives are out of the way though, let's move on to the many many positives. Things turned around rather quickly and we soon appreciated everything the establishment had to offer. The service was exceptional, better than many 5-star hotels. The facilities in the apartment were fantastic. The complimentary drinks and snacks were a wonderful touch, and thrilled my kids. They also provided some wonderful Xmas snacks, beautifully presented. These lovely little touches really made a difference. The accessibility to Orchard Road was also a huge plus. You dont feel like you are anywhere near the city when you step out of the hotel, but walk a little down the road and you'll discover that you are within 3 4 minutes of the bustling and vibrant Orchard Road! The Orchard MRT is a little further (a 10 15 minutes walk) but the main part of the walk is through shopping malls and airconditioned underpass tunnels, so you dont really get tired. Nothing was too much for the establishment, they accommodated just about every request of ours, including moving us to an available room when we needed a late check-out (as our 2 bedroom had to be prepared for the next guest). The experience was first-class, and I certainly wouldnt hesitate staying here again.

  Well maintained and convenient location

  We have just returned from a 7 night stay over the new year period. We were happy with all aspects of the hotel and our room, except the size of bed. It was a double bed claiming to be a queen. Apart from this, room was in very good order with kilchette, fridge frezzer and washing machine. Breakfast is included and was quite adequate, not thesame as a large hotel, but it did suit the different tastes on its guests. On site pool was also in good order. Staff were very friendly thoughout. Convenient location near the top of Orchard Road.

  Thank you 8 on Claymore for once again accomodating our family for our Xmas get together All the staff involved in our stay make sure our requests are managed seamlessly and the outcome is we feel very welcome and at home there

  Pleasant Stay in 8 On Claymore

  Very neat and clean apartment with good service. Staffs are very helpful and cooperative. Very good location and easy access to all attraction in Singapore with 20 minutes. They provide support to get taxi as well. Breakfast was nice.

  One of the most memorable stays in my life

  We stayed for over 40 days at 8 on Claymore and we were really impressed by the absolute brilliant service and caring attitude of every single member of the team. we had a small child with us and every time we had odd requests, the team tried their level best to help us. While there might be many places that offer a great stay, it;s the attitude of the team that always makes this a magical stay. The rooms are absolutely a delight with everything one can think of being available. It's like staying in your own home. The interior designs are tastefully done and really efficient. For a child, there is a great play area and a kid's pool with enough playthings for the kids. For the adults there is a small library, a gym and a very nice pool and most importantly a 24 hour coffee machine. Being a Serviced residence they do not have a kitchen that operates 24x7 but then given the location you really don't need one. All in all one of the best places you can pick for a long term stay in Singapore or for that matter anywhere
