  Amazing still very controversial hotel

  + We visited this hotel just week ago. Great premises, amazing architecture, marina, nice rooms, very professional staff, beautiful coral reef on the door step. All rooms facing to the sea, very good quality coffee, variety pastry and alcoholic drinks. Rooms have LED TV HD with many channels, good size beds, spacious rooms, great shower rooms, soft sunbeds on the beach. Lots of activities provided by others. Due Corona there are some restrictions which are i guess everywhere in Hurghada. - We had very controversial feelings here as hotel personnel so nice, which i cannot tell about some activities organisers. Quad bikes, diving, photo shoots, spa, beauty salons are on offer. However some of the reps are very insisting and hardly persuading that it gives me opposite feeling instead of to be attracted to activity. I feel that i don't want this anymore!!! Pushy!!!pushy!!and one more time very pushy!!! They walking around you 3 4 times a day asking same services. We came here for holidays and not for listening every time same thin.I don't want to mention which organisers but I guess hotel should have conversation to all of them and explain about respect to customers privacy!!!! Also food for 5 star is poor. Breakfast lacking healthy options, alternatives to milk products like soya milk, more variety fresh juice etc. No nuts options, deserts for me looked very unattractive using artificial ingredients. Lunch very repetitive everyday same Chicken bbq, pasta, pizza, kebab, burgers options. Not impressed. The dinner have same roasts, spaghetti option daily where you still going to find same salads everyday. Food could include some more salads especially greens or yogurt sauce, beetroot and all cut to fine peaces not in big cubes which would be much better food presentation. Also tried 2 types of la carte dinner which are included in package were safest option again for meet lovers only. Regards fish they have daily 1 type fried fish found few times undercooked or oversalted with tiny option of seafood. So hotel is bit controversial regards food and services on site provided with amazing views, staff, sea, snorkeling and diving. For 5 star hotel it required good improvements on restaurant s to be in competition with other hotels especially with Makadi Bay hotels were nobody bothers you, Animation team are on site, full variety of food and theme dinner every evening. Saying that views cannot be beaten by other hotels.

  Disappointment in the Albatros Citadel hotel

  I was in this hotel for 9 days earlier this year. The landscape is very beautiful, the hotel looks pretty good, the staff is friendly. However, the hotel's rating of 5 stars is much overestimated. The furniture in the rooms is quite old, the internet access is faulty and the all inclusive menu is very poor. Lunch was the most deficient, the same every day, poor both in terms of variety and quality. The drink was even worse, especially the wine that was bottled by the hotel employees at random (eg on New Year's Eve they served white wine from bottles with another red wine label). Another major problem was transportation in Hurghada. I ordered a taxi from the city to leave the hotel but it was not allowed to enter by the hotel staff. We were explained that these are the rules determined by the Covid pandemic and if we want to get out we can do it with "authorized" hotel taxis or walk to the hotel gate which is over a kilometer away. Instead, when you came from the city with any other taxi, you could enter the hotel without any problems. The quality-price ratio was in my opinion totally disproportionate, and the facilities and conditions offered did not exceed the offer of a three star hotel.

  Nice views, disappointing staff.

  The staff treats you as if you were not welcomed there. Drinks in paper cups even if you ask for a glass and a person before just had it in glasses they tell you that they dont have glasses! Awful experience with the staff in bars. When you ask someone to make a a coffee he will give it to you as if you shouldnt have even asked... Not very nice experience at all...

  Disappointing 5* !

  We were a group of friends to spend New Year Eve at Citadel Resort. The resort is big, well kept, amazing buildings, alleys and gardens, nice pools, beaches and lagoons but... -rooms have outdated furniture, doors that cant be closed, rusted mini fridges ( we had two rooms in building 5), the only nice thing was the sea view - food is ok, not as expected from a 5* hotel, aut of the 5 a la carte restaurants presented on the hotel website only one was opened ( Marrocan) with a fix menu - drinks are very poor, both alchololic and alchohol free, only beer and rum are acceptable - reception staff is total unfriendly and not helpful at all - SPA and excursion sellers are very pushy and annoying and it s very difficult to stay away from them The one week spent there was fine due to sun and sea but we will not come back

  Just incredible !

  We came as a couple for a week. We very much appreciated the architecture of the hotel complex which simulates an ancient citadel. The way the sea surrounds the buildings is gorgeous ! The rooms all face the sea and some have large terrace for sunbaths. The food is excellent always fresh and various with different fish receipees.. The interior lay-out of the sea makes swimming very pleasant even with strong wind. ( interior swimming laguna)
