  Muy Bueno

  Estuvimos solamente un día hospedados ya que volvíamos de un viaje, por suerte el descanso fue genial, no tuvimos ruidos molestos, la habitación estaba limpia y sin sorpresas ni manchas de humedad, tiene wifi gratis que nos funcionó muy bien, y la presión de la ducha es divina! Tiene un lugar para estacionar el auto y un parque muy lindo. Hay bares y restaurantes cerca y no lejos del centro. Muy buena relación en precio - calidad, definitivamente volveremos ahí si paramos nuevamente en Auckland.

  Close to NSOMS

  Clean but tired. The bed was comfy enough but definitely made up with two mattresses instead of one. It had everything we needed. The pool looked good, shame it wasn't warm enough to use. Close to lots of food options and clinics. Friendly staff. An arm chair would have been useful instead of one dining chair that hubby felt was broken. Don't plan on staying again.

  Warning

  Stayed here 2 nights. An aweful experience. Room was very dated (which in itself isn't a real problem if everything was clean and performed to purpose), but very badly maintained. There were broken fittings, stained carpets, scolding hot water, diy repairs poorly carried out and front desk staff who basically couldn't give a toss. Room care were the only staff who exhibited any level of professionalism. Massively overpriced and extremely underwhelming. Would have given a minus rating had there been a facility to do so. HOWEVER... If you're a young hoon wanting to party, throw up and keep on partying, then this may be the perfect place!

  "POENAMO HOTEL"

  No title for this hotel says it all. Over the years we have stayed here several times, but this is definitely the last time we'll stay here. We stayed here for 3 nights. It was "sooo" overpriced for what we got. It was between christmas and new year period, but still not worth the extra money that they charged for this time of year. We checked in and as usual so dark you can't really see anything until you get used to the dingy room. The bathroom needs a really good scrub and paint, as does the rest of the unit. We went out for tea, when we came back, we found the bathroom light didn't work, as did a couple in the main room (bedroom/Lounge). I rung reception, this was probably about 7.30 - 8pm, so not late. The answer service answered the phone, and she said she would tell the manager. Manager rung and said she'd come and look. She said she'd ring an electrician, he'd be there soon. About 9.30 an electrician came and replaced the bulbs, so we had light. After the first night we went out for the morning and came back to our room which we thought would have been made up. It was, according to the person that did our room. The bed looked like a 5 year old had just pulled the blankets up, the sides were very untidily tucked in. The shower hadn't been cleaned and the towels and facecloths not all replaced as other motels do. I could go on about the room, but you understand what it's like just by a few comments I have made. We stay at the Poe, as it near to friends and family we visit on trips to Auckland. But as I said, this is the last time we'll ever stay there. We were in room 12, on the ground floor, the whole unit, needs modernising and painting and scrubbing so it looks OK. I wish I had checked the room, before I paid the 3 night accomodation, which was nearly $600. I did take photos, but I have deleted them by mistake, so nothing to show, just my husbands and my thoughts on the hotel. No-one in the dining room where we went one night for a meal had face masks on, or no-one in reception had them either, I didn't notice any signs in reception saying to wear masks. The question about, was the room vacant for 24 hours before we used it, was what was worrying for me, I had wondered before we left home that the motel rooms we stayed in, were cleaned thoroughly. I have no idea if the room was vacant before we used it, but we have been home and both well for over a month.

  Dissapointing after many years of stays

  I first started staying here some forty years ago when this was a first rate establishment. Over the years I have stayed here four to five times each year with excellent service and the place has been well kept. The staff have always been extremely helpful and the place well kept. However this last few trips have showed the place to be very much in need of some TLC. A recent painting does not cover the lack of smaller things such as cigarette butts and rubbish lying about as well as the fact that my last three stays covering Nov and Dec in the same room show closet space being without doors or hanging space despite there being a cardboard box containing all the necessary fittings to repair such. The staff seem to be most obliging and willing however this is clearly not followed up with support from Management. This is most disappointing as the local is perfect for visiting the North Shore.
