  Very Peaceful hotel

  We stayed here for 4 nights in August. It is quite far up into the mountain with exceptional views of Lake Garda. I cant really fault the hotel, it was clean, and functional with breathtaking views. Check in/Check out was all straight forward, but it was also a bit odd! It was exceptionally quiet, even around the pool you felt you had to whisper, there was no music played or anything. The young guy who works at in the bar/restaurant was great but other than that we werent blown away by the staff. The guy who worked in the little pool bar was quite standoffish. Staff were also a bit few and far between at times. A taxi to nearest restaurant was 18 euros down & 18 back, not so bad as a foursome but pricey for just a couple. I wouldnt advise against staying here I just cant really put my finger on what I didnt like about it, other than all the odds and sods listed above. If it wasnt for the amazing view I definitely would have been underwhelmed. Good base for seeing the Island, short boat trip to Limone, some fab restaurants in Malcesine, Vedoc being our favourite.

  Good stay; access a little challenging

  Good points: Welcome bottle of cava and fruit plates. Parking on site. Robes. Quiet spa with lots of things to use and a relaxing area with complimentary tea and coffee. Dinner in restaurant nice. Breakfast great selection including cava, smoked salmon and gelato. Kettle in the room, good size fridge and complimentary water Not so good points: access to hotel not for the faint hearted. No help with luggage. Pool area small but garden nice with great views. Children play area near rooms on the left. Charges 20 pre agreed for room with lake view got us ground floor corner room with limited view. Breakfast area a bit narrow making it a bit of a snatch and grab. Limited cocktail selection around the pool, garden but nice G&T 6

  Great hotel + staff

  We spent 4 nights at the hotel and loved it. Fantastic views over the lake and great staff. We had dinner in the hotel a few nights and Marino, Ilaria and Andrea did a fantastic job serving the tables and recommending wine and their specialities. Food was excellent :) Breakfast was really good too and we enjoyed making freshly squeezed orange juice. The director, receptionist and other members of staff we came across were all very attentive. The spa facilities were also fantastic. We loved the relaxation room and the fact that it had some teas, fruit and biscuits for guests was something we enjoyed. We would recommend renting a car as the hotel is not really walking distance from the town centre, it's up in the mountain, which makes it even more beautiful as they views are fabulous. Note that there is a minibus service that is just outside the hotel (careful as it only runs a few times per day, the hotel has the times in the reception and the lady is very friendly and will explain in detail). The cable car is probably about 30 min walk from the hotel but it's uphill, so be prepared to sweat a bit. We'd love to come back as it was beginning of November for us and therefore we couldn't use the outdoors pool and garden area since it was too cold. If you are in Malcesine, go for it! Go for Hotel Querceto. :)

  Beautiful hotel in Malcesine!!!

  One of the most beautiful hotel I stayed in. Great location with incredible view of Garda Lake. Nice, friendly staff (front desk), very clean hotel, beautiful pool in the garden, very very tasty breakfast. Shuttle to the city center. I recommend that hotel!!!

  Awful stay, really shook me up

  We was due to stay for 7 nights but stayed for 1 after the lovely staff at Booking.com relocated us as this hotel was so awful. This was because we had blood on our sheets. We went down to ask for new ones and the manager got very angry shouting saying this is a sheet when it wasnt. The walls are paper thin and we had very noisy people around us moving furniture until late. The air con was broken and kept waking us up. The baldo room is a horrible view of the car park and kids play area. We then asked if we could move rooms and again got very angry and said there was nothing left. I then tried to call booking.com but instead accidentally called the hotel but I asked am I speaking to booking.com and he said yes and then proceeded to get angry. General feel of the hotel was grumpy and moody. Very old fashioned. Only person who was nice was the cleaner who sorted our sheets. When checking out the manager was so moody and didnt even speak. Do not recommend staying here one bit. Caused me a lot of distress on our first night of holiday.
