    Buen hotel para desplazamientos de negocios

    Hotel en impecable estado de conservacion en una zona tranquila de Jeddah. Las habitaciones reunen todos los estandares y estan perfectamente equipadas para un desplazamiento de negocios: el escritorio es simplemente espectacular. Buenas zonas comunes con WIFI potente y un restaurante no muy frecuentado pero francamente bien, con cocina internacional y algunas especialidades àrabes. Buen desayuno. El servicio en general es cortés y eficiente. El hotel se encuentra cerca de la nueva Corniche y a dos pasos del Red Sea Mall, asi que uno puede despejarse después de un dia de trabajo. Recomendable.

    Radisson Blu Jeddah Corniche review

    I personally love visiting hotels and reviewing them and Radisson Blu is one of them ! And being in Jeddah always wanted to visit hotels with a sea view away from daily chaos. I had visited its corniche branch for a quick dessert and coffee,to spend some time which ha a a great view to the sea,near to Red Sea mall and other activities to do in jeddah . It was absolutely amazing experience every time I visited for almost 4-5 visits! Feel the sea breeze on your face especially during the month of nov/dec at its terrace lounge which also serves sheesha(hookah). A perfect place for friends or couples . The lounge/cafe on the ground floor is also good with limited menu and vibrant colors welcoming you, we always have their tiramisu and coffee which are delicious Been their 4-5 times and celebrated our anniversary on terrace lounge ! Cant wait to visit again for a memorable staycation and relax! . .I will post few pictures for you all to see. For more follow : @thesafasjournal on instagram

    Not up to Radisson quality standards

    Not up to Radisson Rewards quality standards. Front desk staff was unable to upgrade my room as they told me hotel was full. This was not true as another colleague without any status was given a double upgrade because he was nicer. This is not acceptable. No apologies presented nor solutions when i went to discuss the same again with front desk. As well, even giving my Radisson Rewards number finally i saw they did not introduce the number in the reservation. Not visible the sea from the room as they gave me 1st floor room. It is not one star because room was clean and comfortable. My recommendation would be to avoid the hotel if want to enjoy the benefits of Radisson Rewards uptier status, they seem to penalize the higher tiers vs the customers without loyalty number.

    NOT a 5 Star Experience

    I booked this hotel based on the Radisson brand as I wanted a few days of total relaxation. Unfortunately, it was not relaxing at all and definitely not a 5 star experience! When I got to my room, I realised that although there were towels, there was no face cloth present. I phoned reception who said that they would send one to my room. Imagine my surprise when the hotel employee turned up with a hand towel. I tried to explain what I needed and even tried using google images of face cloths but he was not able to assist me. I went down to reception and explained to them what I needed. They looked disinterested in my problem. I told them that I found it shocking that a five star hotel did not offer their guests face cloths. Two hotel employees, while looking at me, whispered to each other and then burst out laughing. The only deduction I could make from that was that they were having fun at my expense! I used the hotel transport, which I had to pay for, to go to the mall to buy a face cloth. On my return, I showed the staff at reception what I had been talking about. No apology for the inconvenience was forthcoming, instead, again, they looked totally disinterested. I had booked a superior room with a partial sea view and business lounge access. I went to the business lounge and found that there were only a few items out. The piece of cake felt very hard. Next, I headed to the ladies spa to get a price list. They did not have a price list available which I found unprofessional. They promised to send it to me via email. After a second visit, two hours later, they sent it to me. That evening I went down to the restaurant for dinner. The fact that I was the only person there should have acted as a warning. I ordered the loaded nachos and a lemon &mint drink. Imagine my dismay when the nachos arrived and consisted of flavoured Dorito crisps, a beef ragout with melted cheese on top which tasted mouldy. I complained and the chef at least looked embarrassed by the meal I had been served and offered me a free dessert, which I appreciated. The next morning, I went to the business lounge to see what they had to offer for breakfast but found it locked and deserted. So, I went down to the main restaurant. All the food items are either wrapped or packaged in line with Covid -19 safety regulations. Only the watermelon and rock melon were freshly cut. The other fruit all came from tins. The pastries were also hard. The hot food items were limited. Nothing was hot. Everything was luke warm and greasy. The highlight of the breakfast was the freshly made pancakes and the fact that they had decaffeinated coffee available. There is a coffee shop on the ground floor but it is very seldom manned. The spa experience was not good either. There is no hot water in the basin so after my hair had been coloured, the colour had to be washed out with cold water. Not a pleasant experience! Even the water in the shower was never very hot. It would fluctuate between quite and warm and luke warm. Apart from the airport transfer, I made use of the hotel transport twice: 1) to go to the mall to buy the face cloth and 2) to go to the old town area. The hotel charged me SR 80 to the mall and back which is a journey of 2.4 km. The trip to the old town cost me SR300 there and back. Subsequently, an uber cost me SR18 return to the mall and an uber would have cost me SR80 to the old town and back if I had used it instead of the hotel transport. I do understand that hotel transport is normally more expensive than normal taxis, but surely not 4 times more expensive! Needless to say, I did not make use of the hotel transport again. The layout of the room is also completely wrong. When you wake up in the morning, lie n bed and look out of the window you have a view of the city. If they move the bed to the opposite wall, you would actually have a view of the corniche while lying in bed. The bed was super comfy and the room had a Nespresso machine. The only problem with that was the fact that you only got two small containers of evaporated milk daily which were barely enough for one cup of coffee. Although the hotel is situated on the corniche, it is not in a a good location if you do not have a car. There are no restaurants or coffee shops within walking distance. What a disappointing experience!

    Needs Staff Improvement

    The reception staff needs to be improved. We faced several problems with them and all we got was a sorry. Rooms are clean, breakfast is great. Breakfast staff was welcoming and friendly, especially Marlui.
