  Estaba bien por fuera..

  Buena situación,a 15 min. andando de La Pelosa. Y por fuera parecía bonito, hasta que entramos: muebles desparejados de los '80, colchones infames, la ducha perdía agua, el baño desfasado. Y menos detalles que el salpicadero de un Panda: por no haber, no había ni papel higiénico.Ni estropajo, ni jabón, ni pagar con tarjeta, ni...

  Fine for our short stay

  Having read lots of terrible reviews, we were pretty apprehensive about this place, but we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The owner who I spoke to was lovely and spoke perfect English, and while she wasn't very professional, she showed us to our room and gave us a small tour. She was helpful when we needed advice in the future too. The apartments were just like typical holiday apartments, but no basic amenities were provided, so be sure to bring basics like toilet roll and washing up things. The apartment was spacious, but basic and the facilities all worked fine. The location was great, being just a 15 minute walk from the fantastic La Pelosa beach, but we found the bus service to Stintino and Porto Torres to be incredibly difficult to use so bear that in mind. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay.

  An out of the way nice little place

  I stayed here with my boyfriend for 7 nights. We arrived too early which meant that the room wasn't ready, but over the phone everyone was really helpful. When we got into the room around 3pm, it was clean, cool and a nice size. Just what we wanted. The bedroom had a double bed, a window and plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom was clean (the shower was excellent!). The main living area is a nice size, with a table, a sofa bed, shelving, a little tv and a kitchenette. (A sink, over head storage and two ring gas hobs). It could do with more cutlery such as a chopping board and sharp knife! Other than that it is completely functional for a self catering holiday. There is no air con, but as you are quite high you can just leave the balcony door open for a nice strong breeze. The place has a pool which was also very clean and refreshing. open from 8-1 and 4-8. If you do hire a car you need to park at the back, and not turn into the road at the front. The place is 20ish minutes from the beach depending on what part you want to go to and 25/ 30 minutes from the nearest supermarket (which is rather small, but has everything you need). The walk back with shopping might be a little hard as it is up hill for some of it. We rented a car but never used it for the local beach as parking is 1euro per hour and it gets really busy really early in the morning. There are also really nice beaches a little drive away from the area. Overall we loved our stay here.

  Functional but ideal for low budget holidays.

  Stayed with my boyfriend for a week at the end of August in a 2 person apartment. Overall, the apartment was very functional, i.e. Only the very basics were provided. No towels, toilet roll, washing up things, soap etc. The TV didn't work either. Hardly any decor. No AirCon which was also a disappointment to us. In addition, while La Pelosa beach is very near, it takes an annoying 15-20 minute walk to get there since there is only a hugely indirect route there, which we were not told. The beach was also hideously busy/noisy with locals and the only time we managed to get a place near the water was when we woke up at 7am (very disappointing when most of the online pics of La Pelosa are completely empty). Positives were that the apartment was very clean, the shower and hobs in working order, and crockery, cutlery and sheets provided. Also lots of storage space and extra sofa bed. In addition, the local bus stop to Stintino was situated right outside the residence (and costs only 2 return per person). Porch outside had a table and chairs to sit on in the evening. Algita, the manager, speaks very good English and was helpful, although didn't answer to any of our emails and questions prior to our stay. She does not have any maps or tourist guides either. The pool was lovely and almost always empty when open in the evening. Altogether a perfectly fine apartment for those on a budget holiday, but would have appreciated a little more preparation for guests from the residence's end (it seemed as if they had no clue we were coming and asked how long we wanted to stay) and think it would largely benefit from a little more provided in both decor and items (if sheets can be washed, why not towels?) in the apartments!
