  Very nice hotel in San Angelo

  We stayed here to attend a wedding for a friend. What we liked --- they have a full hot breakfast which was very good and nice variety of food. Front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. Needed improvement --- they did not provide housekeeping (fresh towels and emptying garbage) one day during our stay, however when we asked they did bring what we asked for quickly.

  Great Place

  I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in January which was my last stop on my 3 week road trip. Having been on the road this was also my fourth Marriott hotel to stay in besides our timeshare in Palm Desert. I have to say that this was absolutely the best out of all the places we stayed. Not only was it brand new, the front desk was very helpful and welcoming. The room was very spacious (had a king suite), very clean and comfortable. I have no idea why this has a rating of Category 1. If you are passing through San Angelo, this is the place you need to stay. BTW right across the street you have a Fairfield & Courtyard but I'd stay at the Residence Inn!

  Nice hotel with one problem.

  We stayed at this hotel over night for business. Check in was great. The front desk clerk was very nice and welcoming, and check in was speedy. Our room was spotless and there were fresh towels and linens. We needed extra pillows and were accommodated. After going for dinner we came back to lay down and watch TV. They have LG brand TV's. We noticed that for some strange reason the TV would get even darker during dark scenes. This means you can't see anything during dark scenes. I thought it may be the channel we were watching, but nope....it was all channels. I researched and found that LG televisions have a setting called global dimming. Since hotels won't give you the original TV remote, you can't fix the issue. Finally I got tired and just watched a program from my phone. I sure hope they address the issue. Other than that, the stay was good.

  Nice hotel, needs some management refinement.

  This Residence Inn appears to be fairly new and nice. Yet, not sure management was up to speed with maintenance of the property. For one, our TV did not work and could not fix. Housekeeping did not put soap or other toiletries in room, so had to go downstairs to retrieve. These are simple items easily fixed with the right management attitude. Other than that, this hotel is worth staying in. Nice location, easy to locate nearby restaurants.

  Party on the Patio

  This is a new hotel in a nice part of town. In terms of the physical amenities, it was great. The room was very large and the bed was comfortable. The reason I cannot give it a higher review is because the management seems indifferent to boisterous patrons by the firepit in the wee hours of the morning. In summary, if your idea of a good weekend stay at a hotel is to party on the patio with your friends past midnight, this is a great option. If you would rather get a good night's sleep, it's not so great.
