  Muy tranquilo

  Me parecio bastante tranquilo y comodo, alejado un poco del trajin de la ciudad y relativamente cerca de la ciudad. Las suites son asoleadas y dan al jardin. Acceso de inmediato a la piscina y al gimnasio si piensas en darte un chapuzon

  Descansar mirando el río

  Es un hotel que se hace apreciar desde su llegada. Está ubicado cerca del centro (todo el tiempo me moví a pie) y con buena vista hacia el río. La recepcionista fue muy dulce y arreglaron mi siguiente viaje hacia Guyana. Incluso, como mi traffic salía antes del desayuno me prepararon todo para antes de partir. El resto del complejo y la piscina son de gran agrado. Incluso por las noches se puede apreciar un magnífico volar de murciélagos (tranquilo, están lejos) por entre las copas de los árboles frutales.

  A bit out of town but great to stay

  The residence is quite far out of the centre. However the pool offers enough distraction to not be bothered by that. The rooms are good and the staff is friendly. The is good airco and the bar is located just at the pool

  Low standard but low cost.

  I was visiting Paramaribo for business and stayed for quite a while at the Residence Inn, I knew what to expect before arrival so wasnt surprised or disappointed. Rooms are basic, bed was comfortable but very thin sheets, bathroom very tight but functional. A/C was excellent, possibly too good given the lack of real bedding. Telephone in room was not functional and there is no smoke detector in the room. Breakfast was always interesting, if the omelette station was manned there was no problem, if not however youd have to take a chance with what was pre-prepared if you want something hot. Most days it was alright, although not always very western- sometimes the thought of eating liver or dark fish first thing in the morning was a little too tough for me. Evening meals were a little over priced in my opinion but there are a high number of restaurants within 15 mins walk that offer significantly better quality and prices. The WiFi signal is strong throughout the hotel and grounds, no issue connecting to it BUT do not expect to use the internet at much during your stay. Internet speed is often poor to terrible- expect to buy a data SIM from Digicell if you intend on doing anything more than opening a webpage. There is a real and significant mosquito problem in the bedrooms at this hotel. I received no less than 50 mosquito bites over the course of my stay and they all happened in the bedroom. I spent around 200SRD on repellents and insect sprays and spent an hour hunting every evening on return from work to try and minimise the bites. I still have scars on my legs and ankles from over a month ago. Pros +Comfortable bed +Reasonable laundry cost +Close to supermarket +Good A/C Cons -WiFi is unacceptable -Mosquitos extremely prevalent in bedrooms -Noisy -Breakfast selection lacking

  beautiful garden, horrible internet

  The hotel is nice, spacious and does not have too many rooms. The garden is full of Iguanas and beautiful birds. The receptionists are friendly and speak English. The internet must be the slowest internet in all Paramaribo. I stayed at places where a night costs 1/10th of the price of the Residence Inn, but the internet was faster there. Especially on the weekends, when locals come to spend the day at the pool, it breaks down again and again. I ended up using my mobile data at the hotel, which is not how it is supposed to be, right? If they fixed that and got a bit more fruits at breakfast, it would almost be perfect.
