  A quick stay

  Unfortunately we had a such a quick stay that didn't even have a chance to see the place in the light of day. It looked so charming for what I was able to see, plus the photos. A good night's sleep and a very nice breakfast. Comfy bed and good pillows. Lot's of variety at breakfast. The WiFi not the best.

  Outstanding amongst country hotels

  From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more helpful. We were traveling back through europe with a horsebox in tow (belongings, not horse!). We had called ahead to ask it that was OK. They reserved an area which was taken by an unthinking guest. As a result they worked very hard to find a place in a very busy car park. The hotel is very popular indeed with local people becuase the food is so exceptionally good. The rooms are temendous. As are the grounds surrounding. Very highly recommended. Nothing could be improved. Part of the public approach road is an old access road, which might make you think you have made a wrong turning. It clears after 300 meters. A hotel to return to.

  A Fine Rural Setting

  Stayed for two nights at this hotel situated in farmland on the outskirts of Lubeck with German friends. The standard of the rooms were of the highest quality along with an excellent restaurant serving many regional dishes. The staff were very helpful in assisting our stay. Lubeck is a charming city a founder member of the Hanseactic League and famous for amongst other things the bithplace of Thomas Mann, Willy Brandt, and Gunter Grass.The young JS Bach travelled from Leipzig.to Lubeck to study under Buxehude at the Marienkirche. Luberg is also famous for its marzipan.

  Romantically rural

  Hidden in the rural outskirts of Lübeck, the Ringhtel Friederikenhof is a wonderful location for a short getaway and a romantic weekend. It offers all the amenities you require and a an excellent restaurant with very attentive service. The hotel is part of the Schleswig-Holstein Gourmet Festival which speaks volumes for the quality of the food. If you are so enclined, bring your bike along - the surroundings are perfect for a bike ride with a picnic for two along a canal or you could explore Lübeck from the seat of your bike. This is a lovely place and I am seriously considering rebooking another stay!

  Nice frames, bad painting

  Beautiful countryside location (walking distance to Elbe-Lubeck canal Bussau lock). Very nice yard, beautiful house. Pleasant room, very clean. And restaurant on the same site is very good. However, there were also some problems. OK, that was just bad luck to enter same time as a bigger group. But later that evening another person at reception really could not care less. Breakfast was total chaos. So many customers. So little staff - and they really did not care. Finally got some coffee, that was cold and extremely bitter. Buffet was rather empty, too little staff to eat. Those few items were on very illogical order. Worst breakfast of our two week European tour. We had to pay. Nobody at reception, just a sign to call telephone number - but that mobile phone was there on the table, she did not carry it with her. Very rude attitude when she finally came - that woman working on 18th May was disgrace to whole Ringhotel.
