  Nice Quite Hotel

  We stayed in there for 4 nights. Location is not in center but I love the neighborhood. It is located just opposite to the Othmarschen station as it is really close to the train station you might get offended by train noise. But the cleaning lady did not clean anything. Breakfast Buffet was good.

  A Budget stay in Hamburg!

  Hotel Schmidt was a comfortable stay in a good location - with free carparking, and close to public transport (train). WiFi was provided and was quite acceptable in speed. The dinning area was comfortable and the breakfasts fine - offering the basics reqd. The Hotel consists of three Houses renovated to provide bedrooms with bathroom facilities - the centre House being the reception and dining area. We stayed here about a week and was quite happy with our room - it was spacious and comfortable.

  Great family hotel close to communications

  Wellrun family hotel close to restaurants and communications. A bit disturbing S-bahn but otherwise great place with nice and friendly staff. Roughly a 20 mins ride to downtown Hamburg. Breakfast also very good.

  Just awful.

  I slept in this hotel for a week, due to its location. First I can tell you that it's located w a y too close to the train station. I was awaken by every train. I heard every train! The room I got was practically a basement, which meant no privacy, since all my windows were ground level. The bed was repeatedly filled with ants, although I tried my best to clean it, and the breakfast was too basic. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

  ROOMS NOT CLEANED

  My room was never properly cleaned during a four night stay. The curtains were hanging off the curtain rail. There were glass ring marks on tables that were never wiped and the bathroom sink was not cleaned properly. The room was not hoovered during my stay and the tissue container in the bathroom was not filled. All of these complaints were made to the hotel staff with photos but nothing happened! When I went to pay on leaving I was told abruptly that I should have paid on the day of arrival. I told them that on my day of arrival I asked the receptionist when I should pay and she told me the day before I leave! There were no English language TV news channels and due to slow WiFi it took 12 minutes to download a newspaper.
