  Cool trip to Sun Moon Lake

  Great place to: Relax and watch sunrise Cycle around the lake Eat Fatty Pork Rice Canoeing, stand-up surfing (the lake water is warm, but try not to drink it) Fishing Strolling Praying Photographing This hotel room is clean and we stayed in room overseeing the lake which is worth it. It has hot, warm, cold water dispenser in the room. Dont expect much on the breakfast. Location of this hotel is very convenient to stroll the Main street and there r 2 7-11 stores around the area. The dining place in my photo - price is reasonable and decent meal. (Opp.the Big car park).

  Beautiful view from the room

  This was one of a few hotel with breathtaking view of Sun Moon Lake which can be directly seen from our room. The misty and quiet morning was perfect for our tea time. Located in Shuishe pier, it was surrounded by a lot of food stalls and restaurants. So we have no problem in finding food after strolling around the lake. But, please be aware that the shops are usually closed after 7-8pm. There is water fountain in every room, that's one plus point. But all of us agree that the bathroom was not likeable. The tub wasn't exactly a tub and there is no curtain so the water will splash everywhere when showering. The breakfast spread was not that tasty, but fulfilling. The service was okay.

  Worst service ever

  We stayed one night in this hotel. The room has an okay view at the lake, but the worst service ever. Before we went to bed, we saw that the bed sheets were dirty. There were hairs on there and some red stains of which I assume to be blood. We called the front desk and They send someone. Their answer: probably a mistake by the cleaning company, it is clean though. And they said it very impatiently and rude. We insisted them to change the sheets. So they went down stairs to get new sheets. And They were unpolite and very rude, like They are blaming us. We think that They did not clean the sheets at all. And the Breakfast is bad, Little variance and not tasty Food.

  Bitten by bed bugs in room 1015

  Stayed 3 nights. Didn't think much about why we were scratching our legs from time to time over the days we were there. Thought maybe just mosquito bites we got while we were outside sightseeing. It wasn't until the afternoon we got back to Taipei that we realized and noticed the red spots on the lower part of our legs. Google it and sure enough, bed bugs bites. Refer to my pic. Perhaps the other reviewers that claim bedsheets not cleaned...they were correct in that regards? Other than that, odd of not having a shower curtain installed (As others have mentioned). I didn't use the water fountain that's in the room...I don't trust it. Only one pillow per guest provided and the pillows had no support. And I know on our 2nd morning we still had our DND light sign lit up but housekeeping came in anyways. Even though there was an extensive selection for breakfast (western style and Chinese style), the items were all the SAME on all 3 mornings. How boring. We had lakeview room so that was the only cool positive thing. Not sure if I would stay there again though.

  Poor service. Disappointed

  Stayed 1 night with a family of 6. We booked 2 rooms. No electranic kettle in the room and have to pay a deposit to get it from reception. Rooms are small, poor sound isolation and noisy. We are staying on 6th floor there are renovation at the nearby jetty. Noise from jetty can be clearly heard. Plus point is also near to jetty so if taking a boat ride the lication is convenient. The room looks old and not maintained. There are really better hotels at Sun moon lake. Not recommended.
