Best Family HolidaySki Inn Condominiums are an older complex but have a great position to view Giant Mountain, Howson Hill and home run. If you are strong you can ski out but definitely can ski in. It is positioned just one building back from slopes. Reception staff are wonderful, nothing is too much. Highly recomend staying here. Steamboat is a very family orientated town. Views attached

Horrible Horrible Horrible.I have been coming to Steamboat for close to 20 years now. This by far was the worst vacation anywhere I have been to. We stayed in condo 331. There were certain units that couldn't check in at Ski Inn office, that couldn't ride the Ski Inn shuttle bus. We so happen to be in one of them buy out units. Everyone keeps making an excuse about this 2008 half buy out crap. Who cares!!! It's 2017. We couldn't check in at the condo. We had to go across town. They said we could only ride Steamboat Resort shuttle. Which was horrible in itself. 5 shuttle buses waiting and none of them would allow my family on the bus. We had to only take a dispatched bus. Which seemed like only 1. It took over 40 minutes if not longer when we would call. And when one finally showed up, the driver wouldn't let my family on the bus. I had to argue with him to finally call the dispatcher to say it was ok. Horrible horrible. One night we were locked out of condo. All 4 keys would not work. We walked to the office 1 min away for our unit, so the office can inform us that our unit is part of this stupid 2008 buy out and they couldn't give us a key. We had to wait close to an hour and a half before someone would show up to let us inside. After waiting an hour in, we had called back and there response was "we are waiting to take care of clients at the office". Horrible horrible horrible. Happy Skiing.

Spring Skiing TripSpent two nights in the 100 building at the Ski Inn through Wyndom resorts. Be sure to read your confirmation and know where to check in. Our check in was in a shopping/restaurant complex just down the road. Staff at check in were very friendly and helpful. There are two different shuttles that service the Ski Inn. We recieved a phone number to call when we needed a ride into town. They were there within 15 minutes to pick us up from the Condo and when we were ready to leave downtown they picked us up within 10. Very convienient and faster than taking the city shuttle. Nice suprise we were not expecting. The condo itself was very clean. You can tell it is an older unit but was very well maintained. Smelled fresh, Had all the pots and pans, and things needed to cook a couple meals. Bring everything you need though including the little stuff like salt, pepper, oil. There was nothing. There was coffee though. We walked to the Gondola in the morning to go skiing and walked back at the end of the day. Downhill on the way, up on the way back. Not too bad though. The mattresses would be the only reason I woudl take off a point. Very thin and hard.

Great condo stay with the family!Spent two nights in the 200 building at the Ski Inn! The check-in process was easy and the staff really friendly and courteous. The condo itself was very clean, had lots of things in the kitchen for cooking but bring your own coffee (or drive the 5 minutes to Starbucks like we did). It did have bathroom amenities, which was great as we forgot ours! The only complaint was that we could not easily find how/where to turn on the air conditioning (it was pretty hot) so we just opened up the windows at night to help.

Not really "ski-in ski-out"We rented a large condo here and we were led to believe that this was a ski-in ski-out property. That isn't really the case. To ski in, there would have to be a whole lot of snow on a zig-zagging trail through some woods and over a small stream, but if there is actually enough snow and the stream is frozen over then snow plow waste pile prevents you from actually skiing to the property. The ski-out really requires you to walk across the parking lot and walk a usually muddy train past some other condo buildings and then you are on the slope on the stampede green trail that ends near the kids areas at the base. Some things to keep in mind: Very large room / condo. Fireplace was fun. Hot tub was fun. (it is directly under the Gondola) Seems like it was built in the late 1970's or early 1980's and has not been updated since then. A sort of plus is that because everything was worn and dated, we didn't worry that our little kids were going to wreck the place. No elevator.
