  HOTEL DE PASO

  Es un hotel con habitaciones pequeñas, antiguas, que están pidiendo una reforma. La proximidad del tranvía, se vuelve incomoda desde primeras horas de la mañana. El resto del hotel, es adecuado para estar de paso.

  Very nice

  Lovely hotel right on the river. There isn't much around but the old town is 20 minutes walk along the tow path. Spacious rooms, some with river views and balconies. Really tasty food at great value. Goose liver salads, burgers, beautiful deserts... No toiletries in the bathroom was the only slight criticism.

  Be carefull!!

  The most of the staff is friendly but be carefull, they might try to trick you. They gave me a room (103) which seemed to be on the streetside. I found out the next morning. Somewhere between 4:30 and 5 in the morning the tram starts to ride and you will hear it every 25 seconds. Loud! After being awake for some time, and not able to go to sleep anymore, I went to the reception in order to ask for a new room. I talked with the gentleman and told him that for sure I wasnt the only one that complained. He acknowledged. However he said, someone has to have this room???? HUH? Are you kidding. He gave me a new room, 301, which was on the reverse side he said. Partly true, it is on the end of the corridor, still confronted with the sound of the trains. Less, yes, but still. I will try the coming night but wow, they really dont care renting these rooms out knowing about the noise and not warning people.

  A quick one-night business stay, but very pleasant

  I was lodged from the river side, so less noise, as long as you don't open the windows. Well, its the centre of the city, and obviously noise is an issue, but the river side is by far quieter. Other than that - spatious room, with nice wooden floors, confortable bed, spatious and clean bathroom - everthing you may need to stay for the night or even more than one. The restaurant (Oliwka) serves nice means, and the breakfast choice will make just about anyone happy.

  Spa and dinner

  My wife and I are currently staying at our apartment in Bydgoszcz. We normally eat out at Wernda, Meluzyna and Villa Calvados, but for Valantine's day I wanted to treat my wife to pampering. Hotel Sloneczyn Melyn came up on Google with spa treatment packages and my wife and I spent this morning in their spa followed by a meal in the restaurant. I have to say both the spa and dining experiences were absolutely fabulous. I cannot understand why this hotel is not listed with the other restaurants for fine dining. It is matches up in all respects withe the other three. We look forward to returning to both this spa and restaurant when we next return to our apartment in Bydgoszcz in the coming months, just as we look forward to eating in the other three restaurants. Bydgoszcz is very fortunate in having four such excellent fine dining restaurants.
