Holiday in sideWe have just come back yesterday 18 oct 2020,hotel clean, food always cold and not much choice for english guest mostly catered for Russian guest . Luckily there were several great places to eat out.we were all inclusive big mistake

Mediocre...First things first - most comments are regarding the Hotel and how it is run. This is an issue for the owner/management. Staff are friendly, helpful and eager to make your stay a memorable one. However... . This hotel is NOT all inclusive. Food is of a questionable quality. There is not food or drink available all of the time, not even when you arrive at 1am. But, I would be surprised if you didn't find something to eat, just don't expect much! You truly do get what you pay for and there are many good and some great places nearby for food! . The cleaning is somewhat to be desired. Towels are dirty, threadbare and poor in quality. Rooms are not cleaned when asked, rooms and balcony never swept meaning a build up of hair etc. Shower left in a bad state. Bedding stained and pillows covered in long dark hairs (definitely not mine!). But, the housekeeping staff were friendly! They just need guidance. Given that this was during a quiet time due to Covid and end of season - the hotel was not busy. . Pool sun beds never wiped down, moved, cleaned or put away. Poolside wiped with a mop that I saw being 'dunked' into the pool to get water from. O.o Drinks spillages left (even when staff were notified). . Very little awareness and precautions taken regarding Covid-19. Temperatures never taken and masks very rarely worn by bar staff members (cleaners and those in the kitchen staff wore them often). A slight issue given the increase in cases worldwide. NO social distancing whatsoever! Screens up but pointless in the bar as they were so small and somewhat ridiculous in the restaurant as they were loose and never cleaned. . Entertainment.... What entertainment? The 'DJ' rocks up at 10am every day and spends about 12 hours talking to the British, charging people for the use of his Shisha (Hello Covid...) I would have laid this bloke off about 4 years ago as he truly isn't worth his time. The music is all pre-set and is the SAME tunes day in, day out. .'Outside entertainment' - dancers lovely, Turkish stalls once a week, but stupidly the same night as dancing so they don't sell much. (Also don't think you should be pestered to buy something when in your hotel. It is overwhelming enough as it is in the streets and markets!) Belly dancing great (especially the male! :D), bingo once in a blue moon and karaoke about as often. . Pools - lovely! Two smaller and mostly shaded for the children. One by the bar was always busier so nice to have both. Pools of a good size, acceptable temperature and a happy level of cleanliness. . Slides - used to be open for two 1.5 hour slots a day. Moved to being just once in the afternoon. Need to be cleaned and goodness knows how often or when they were last maintained... . Lifeguard - literally one of the bar staff in a 'lifeguard t-shirt' and much more engaged with his phone than ever anything or anyone else. About as useful as a chocolate teapot. . Staff - desperately need guidance. Having worked without a day off and being paid peanuts, I think they had lost their 'get up and go'. This is completely down to who manages the hotel and how they treat their staff. ALL were friendly, helpful and pleasant but a few were incredibly lazy. . Rooms - a very good size but only one air con. Safe is additional. Effectively two balcony's on our room due to the size. One with a gorgeous view over the pool. An odd layout and waste of space but nice to have a fridge, a kettle and a few cupboard spaces. . En-suite - small but everything you need! Shower a good temperature but all very dated and in need of TLC! Sure, it's cheap and mostly cheerful but I truly wouldn't yet recommend this place. It needs tightening up. The owner/boss/management who were on site regularly need to play a bigger part in this hotel! Often too busy providing food for the Jandarma who arrived every other day to eat, drink and have a good ol' catchup!

Home from homeI am appalled to read the review from Dynamic Duo regarding this complex. Firstly I never once had an issue with not getting food at restaurant breakfast,lunch and dinner. HASSAN the restaurant manager and his staff work long and tireless hours so don't see an issue with them taking a break from time to time. As for cleaning of rooms my room was cleaned daily, beds changed and fresh towels which were always clean as was bedding. Temperatures were taking daily before entering restaurant and staff were always wearing masks completely disagree with no precautions regarding covid 19, screens were put up and everything was served to you you couldn't even lift youre own plate as a precaution. Drinks were served to your table including hot drinks which had been removed from restaurant to bar area. Bar area had more than sufficient screening the problem was clients ignoring these and standing on top of you. As for HALIL entertainment manager, I don't know what you expect this guy to do regarding entertainment as he is under strict regulations due to the covid pandemic, the usual games, water polo archery, water aerobics to name a few are prohibited. As to spending time with clients that is his job!!!!!!! Which I for one appreciate if it wasn't for the hospitality of Hassan and Halil and the efforts of their hard working team and them this hotel would not keep attracting returning clientelle. Regarding the shisha Halil kindly brought his in for my IRISH Husband to try before he purchased, also everyone had a separate mouth attachment so no restriction broken there, just a guy who takes the needs of his clients above and beyond his job title. Sp my personal thanks to Halil. AND ABSOLUTELY NO EXCHANGE OF MONEY WAS GIVEN NOR EXPECTED.To All Staff from Sunlight keep up the hard work and ill see you very soon.

My new Turkish baseMy friend introduced me to this hotel this year. I don't normally respond or write reviews however I was stunned to read some comments made by dynamic duo which I totally disagree with. I normally stay in 5 star hotels so was apprehensive to go here as it is rated 3 star. I was soooo wrong, my only complaint would be that the beds were too hard for me. However as someone who has long black hair I am so paranoid as this is hard to hide especially on white bed sheets etc not once did I see any in my accommodation. My lady who looked after me was lovely even making me two swans from clean white towels, they might not have been fluffy like in 5 star but they were most certainly clean. My room was cleaned daily with fresh clean towels and bedding. Now the restaurant my temperature was taking every time I entered restaurant and all staff wore masks. Everything was behind screens and served to you by staff, even plates. The hot beverage machine and cups were removed to behind bar area the masked restaurant staff brought us drinks to our pre cleaned table which had compliments individually wrapped and they removed our plates and debris once we were finished. Hassan the restaurant manager and his extremely hard working staff did everything in my opinion to make my stay covid safe. Are they not entitled to breaks??????. As for Halil the entertainments manager this poor guy was attentive and apologetic for not being able to provide the usual entertainment as in sports, water polo, aerobics etc. He was helpful with suggesting places to go and see as this was my first and most definitely not last visit to here. Is it a crime to talk to clients now?????? My partner and I were most impressed with hospitality showing by this young man and Hassan. Final point, Halil I want to apologise directly to you as your good SAMARATIAN act regarding shisha has been portrayed as a negative. You went out of your way to bring one in for my party of 4 at YOUR COST!!! And this has been flagged up you did this as we wanted to buy and try different flavours you even got individual mouth pieces wow what a breach to hygiene and covid me thinks not. THANK YOU HALIL Lastly I would like to thank all staff at Sunlight you made my stay so memorable that I am already planning my return and hopefully next year my two adult sons and girl friends will be with me.

Fantastic stay in Sunlight GardensWe travelled to sunlight gardens in October 2020 once Turkey had been removed from the UK travel corridor and booked last minute (5 days before) due to our previous hotel booking being cancelled. We are so glad we discovered this hotel! On arrival in the early hours of the morning we were checked in quickly and shown to our 2 bedroom apartment. It is huge! We travel multiple times a year and visit turkey every September/October and we have never had a room so large! As a family of 2 adults, 3 children and a baby we really appreciated the space. There were 2 bedrooms (a double and the second containing 2 single beds) and a large lounge with sofa bed. A large modern, clean bathroom and 2 separate balconys. A full size fridge, kettle and hairdryer were also in the rooms. The doors leading externally including the 2 balcony doors all had chains on them, this is something little but so vital with young children and the thought gone into this little detail was much appreciated. The only things missing from the rooms that we are used to is a tv, its great for entertaining the kids when getting ready of an evening or in the mornings, also we were very close to reception (room B1105) and the WiFi still didnt reach our room properly so with the lack of tv and lack of kids being able to use their phones/iPads whilst in the room they were a bit bored in those couple of hours in the evening before we went out. The pools, restaurants and all external areas were constantly being cleaned and maintained and the staff made sure to run a whole experience from water slides to evening music and entertaining despite the hotel being pretty much empty. The only thing not running we found was the kids club but that was to be expected due to Covid and when we return next year it will be a nice addition. The restaurant had been made Covid secure and food was plentiful through the day with a variety for all. The best things about this hotel though have to be its location and then the amazing staff here. The staff were what made our stay amazing. Never have we met a group of people that were ALL so happy and friendly. Normally you get the odd one thats Marys or miserable but not here. Hasan and the team made a real effort with us and the children, often came over to interact and chat, made sure they got us drinks and a high chair as soon as we walked into the restaurant and couldnt do enough for you. The chefs that now also have to serve food (cant help yourself due to Covid) were always friendly and helpful despite this change in their role. We were blessed to have the main pool to ourselves most days sometimes we were joined by one or two people but whilst we enjoyed the experience we can see how that must be devastating for the owners and staff seeing such a large hotel so empty. The same for all of the shop and restaurant owners to see their businesses so slow. They really are the nicest people and go out of their way to ensure your holiday is amazing so if youre reading this whilst looking at hotels for next year, please book to stay here, support this lovely team as they rebuild from Covid, you wont regret it and theyll go out of their way to ensure your holiday was as good as ours
