  Big rooms, clean but a bit boring

  Big rooms, rather clean. We paid for 2 nights stay with food, for 4 persons (no deduction for children). In the package there was food included, however they charged for plain tap water. Coffee and cake was included but NO drink for children, who obviously do not drink coffee, we had to ask for soft drink but that was charged extra. Welcome drink was included in the price at dinner, however it was NOT offered any alcohol free alternative, some luke warm white wine was already in the glasses when we arrived to the table. When we stated that we do not drink alcohol (obviously children are not drinking wine!) no offer for anything else was made. Food was ordinary but ok. Meat was served both days, no alternative. Nice breakfast buffe was served. Most visitors where elderly couples. Not a perfect place for kids. Nothing to visit or look at, at a walking distance. Big road just outside caused some noice but not too disturbing.

  Lunch and dinner below average

  I stayed for one night, Booked for a conference with one sleepover, lunch, dinner and breakfast included. A rather worn hotel with a "rundown" exterior. Conference room was large, but poorly equipped and with 30 persons attending the indoor climate was getting worse as the hours passed away (no airconditioning). In general the hotel is worn and not up to todays standards. Rooms present a nice cleaning standard but beds are really awful (worn and not able to provide a good nights sleep. If you are so unfortunately to get a room close to the 'highway' prepare for a rather noise night! Lunch and dinner was below average, breakfast was however better than expected. Hotel staff and service as good and friendly. Generally most Bead and breakfast in the area provides more for less.

  Very nice place to stay

  Place is clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is good, they offer cold cuts, cheese, cereal, hard boiled eggs, fruit, juices. The bread offered was delicious, the rolls were crunchy on the outside and very soft in the inside. I don't know if they bake it there, but this is the best bread I have ever tasted. The common areas are very comfortable. I wish they would offer eggs prepared in other ways, not just hard boiled. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The staff speak English. The price is reasonable, I highly recommend this place.

  Hotel in Aabybro Denmark

  Hotel Søparken was advertised as a 3* country hotel however it is below standard and I do not recommend it as a holiday hotel. It would serve as a basic hostel or accommodation as it needs an upgrade in all areas. Room: Very old dated carpet and basic furniture. There were 2 small single beds provided and no option for a queen or double. The linen was basic white sheets and duvets. The room was not cleaned daily even though we stayed for more than one night and the towers were worn out and thin. The shower was lukewarm at maximum temperature and there was no extractor fan. Cleanliness: The sheets and towels were not changed. The room was dusty. The public dining areas were not cleaned regularly so it was difficult to find a clean area to eat at meal times. Breakfast: Horrible! Cold meat that was from a can or package and stale cheese. Basic bread and rolls. Small selection of fruit and cereal. No option for pastries or a hot breakfast. Very disappointing. Lunch and Dinner - we opted to eat out in Aalborg which had many nice options. Staff: Not helpful with basic things like luggage or requests for simple amenities e.g a pair of scissors. Generally a very disappointing 2 nights at Hotel Søparken.

  Tired

  Where should I start I visited this ( Hotel) only just last week for 2 nights with my Danish girlfriend as a surprise for me as we were visiting Northern Denmark She was left embarrassed at the lack of service and the tired room As to say I felt the service was a lot to be desired we had to ask the times of the meals and if you didn't get there on time there was little to chose from on the first night of 2 I had to go and source our drinks 2nd night a Friday slightly better service but 2-3 stars at best Then at check out we were almost charged for drinks we did not have very expensive as well Overall not good enough Shame
