  A Balcony Overlooking Paradise

  My boyfriend and I arrived in Barbati by bus from Corfu town. We were worried at first because we had been dropped off at the bottom of the hill (not knowing there was a very convenient bus stop right outside Stefanos place) and we didnt know then how to get back on the top without a car. We went into a small food store to buy some dinner and the cashier asked us where we were staying. He said ah stefanos, thats my cousins, I will call them to come pick you up. We waited until Georgio and hos sweet little niece picked us up, brought us to their resort and immediately sat us down for free drinks. We ended up eating dinner there that night and that was the start of five days where we always ate at Stefanos for dinner. They were all so nice and gave us freebies with every dinner. Giorgio noticed my boyfriend loved to sip wine on his private balcony well into the night so he gave him free wine to take back to his balcony. As the nights followed Giorgio hopped over the balcony rails on occasion to join him for a drink or two. We loved feeling so welcome and the food was great. We got around the no car problem. Yes the buses dont run very often but if you plan it just a little its definitely manageable. While you wait for the bus theres always a magical pool We were more than happy to pass the time in.   The friendliest hotel ever

  My wife and I and our son and my brother, his wife and their daughter wanted a relaxing break before the 2 young uns headed off to uni. and this place was a gem. The accommodation was very clean (cleaned every day) and comfortable; a slight hiccup with the a/c in 1 room was sorted out quickly and satisfactorily. The home cooked food was delicious and always served with a cheery smile. Its a family run affair and all of them were helpful and obliging with loads of local info and happy to book taxis etc A particular highlight was the homemade Kumquat liqueur - wow! The hotel is set up on a hill just off the main road and 2 local villages Barbati & Ipsos were walkable but be prepared to need either a hire car or taxis (reasonable prices) to visit attractions further afield. We all had a lovely holiday and the family (owners of the hotel) went out of their way to make my brothers birthday a special affair. We were very sad to leave and we shall be back.

  Wonderful stay are Stefanos' Place

  We had a wonderful stay at Stefanos' Place. It is situated above the bay next to Ipsos. The beach there is very nice although pebbles not sand. The views from the hotel are spectacular. The pool totally relaxing and nice and shallow at one end which was perfect for the kids. The kids also loved exploring the hotel grounds. The food was really good. We ate different things from their menu, which was both affordable and delicious. They are really friendly and always included treats with dinner. All in all, the perfect getaway and lodgings for a family of 5 with 3 small kids. Highly recommend it.

  Lovely restaurant and service

  We had a lovely family meal here on our holiday in Corfu. The owner was superb and very friendly. Great views and would recommend for dinner. Service was exceptional. The menu is extensive and food was delicious.

  Friendly place

  Summarize: The apartman was extremely clear. The staff and the owner was really kind and helpfully. The pool was clear. The bar wasn't open. The sea view was enjoyable. The AC work well and it was free. The Wifi works well and it was free. Room: We know that Corfu has a lot of old flats and apartments in the whole island, but this place has acceptable rooms. Not the best best, but it is in the middle range, better than the 80% of the Corfu accommodations. The room was really clear. The doors and windows were newly. Location: Best location in corfu. It is recommended to hire a car. It takes only 25 min to get La Grotta and it takes only 20 to get Corfu and it takes only 40 min to get Sidari. Nissaki has a great small beach, it is beautiful and it is better than the big Barbati or Ipsos beach. It takes only 8 mins to get there. Find it: Nissaki beach and also try the sea side traverna therre. Kassiopi beach only 30 mins from here by car and it is an other nice small beach with a good restaurant. Food: Breakfast: Do not pay for the breakfast in advance Launch: - Dinner: You can try the accommodation's restaurant. It is good for a night but there are several restaurants nearly. Barbati and Nissaki and also Ipsos have good restaurants. The breakfast - I think that nobody can eat the same thing during the week. We paid for the breakfast, but it isn't worth it. Every day got the same thing and you can only choose between the fried egg and scrambled eggs. How can eat eggs for 7 days? An if you wanted something else instead of eggs you have to pay, example: toast. After two days we got bored to eat eggs, and we wanted to change it to toast but we have to pay for it. IDK why can be it changed? The breakfast only contains 1 type of bad caffe, 3 in 1 Nescafe, and if you want a normal caffe or a cappuccino you also have to pay. So it isn't worth it to pay for the breakfast... This was the only one bad thing.
