  Good value for money

  We stayed at the Tara Mantra hotel in the morning suite for a week. The hotel is nicely located at the more quiet area, and most tourists we saw were local. About a 500m walk to cha am Beach and the same the other direction to the fishermans village. The hotel was quite empty as its low season, so it was quiet. We had a family stay for one night at the room next to us though, which made it clear that the walls are quite thin. The room was nice and clean and the air-con worked wonders in the +37 celcius heat. The whole hotel including the room has seen its better days- little thing here and there are in need of touch-ups. The service was good and friendly, all though the staff spoke very little english- but all things were always resolved nicely. Very attentive and tried their best. A big plus for bikes to use free of charge: if you go to cha am, a bike is a really great way to get around. All in all a good hotel, great value for money, good breakfast, and the pool areas are absolutely gorgeus!

  Beach hotel with nice swimming pool

  Tara Mantra is located at Cha Am Beach, Thailand. I would say this is a 4 star hotel with spacious room and pretty nice swimming pool. It is a beach front property but the beach is a public beach across the street. With the crowd visiting the beach I did not find it enjoyable sitting by the beach. But, once I got back to the hotel to swim In its pool its a whole new experience. There are 3 swimming pools at the hotel, one on each floor. So I found my peach swimming in the pool next to my room without the crowd. With the price that I am paying, the hotel rate a value buy. The only downside is is not situated at a quiet and secluded spot. If you like busy street activities, this hotel will be perfect for you.

  Clean, Comfortable Option In Cha-am

  Spent two nights at Tara Mantra. It's a clean, well-run hotel. Staff are available and attentive, but not intrusive. The room was a nice size, the bed comfortable, and a good selection of amenities. They have 3 swimming pools; 2 smaller ones on upper levels, and a nice-sized pool with a kids wading area on the ground level. The pool is larger than their photos suggest. The breakfast buffet is well above the Thai average. A nice selection of both Thai & western offerings, fresh fruit, salad, breads. And real bacon on our visit. The hotel is located across from the quieter, North Cha-am Beach area. A very pleasant stay.

  Better go to market

  Nice ambience, service OK considering location, food was not bad and reasonable prices. However spoiled tomato served with fried rice, which we highlighted, no apology or acknowledgment from service. Yam Seafood salad got smelly fish, chef acknowledged and confirmed, however service still charge full price. Pina colada needs more boost, tastes more as mock tail, after highlighting service say this is special recipe I am still struggling to find a place on ch am beach, this place has at least good service compare to careless service next door hotel from my previous reviews. After asking for a manager and explanation, why we being charged for spoiled fish, no manager in charge or anyone who could be accountable, disappointing evening due this experience, again. Hoteliers complaining no guest, low revenues, this might be why guest prefer to eat in the market or home as most of the hotels can't match expectations or even prepare basics?!

  Near beach good standards

  Hi stayed here for a week good staff nice 3 looks very good breakfast nice bathroom we had a bath clean well worth a visit 50 metres from beach quite area of cha am if your a party person cha am is not for you!we booked hotels.com keep an eye open for their discount codes.think all rooms come with breakfast,our room had tea coffee and small fridge if was a deluxe room they have others i suggest you check out what rooms has what in them ps they are not all the same. Lots of places to eat thai and English around the area within walking distance near beach....beach has deck chairs which can be rented for small fee of if you eat and buy food from owner no charge for chairs also sunbed on beach 200 Bart for 2 beds and as many umbrellas as you want all day.go enjoy....good time to go is now hotels are quarter full due to lack of tourists Caronvirus we never seen and sign of it....March 2020
